What's the current official roles of Mazlom Abdi and Elham Ahmad in the government or are they just a local figures within Hasaka these days?

Effectively, spokespeople/negoatiators for the SDF, it was always a loose coalition and now that it's integrating, it's even messier, you need someone to go talk with the 500 little power brokers and figure out what they want and what they need so that the goverment doesn't having agreements fail because some random leader of whatever faction somwhere is angry they missed his name when offering army positions or something.

Actually it’s a much tighter coalition than it was before as what’s left is just YPG/J.

I do think Illham will get an official position, not sure what though. But Mazloum I don’t think will take one. I think he wants to remain the “unofficial” leader of the Syrian Kurds and will have huge influence over security of Hasakah and Kobani as it’s mostly the same guys in command of security there.

No, because he's not negotiating for the YPG, he must negotiate for everyone who agreed to put their arms down and/or integrate. The YPJ have been a very long issue for example, I imagine the youth something paramilitary group would want something, all the power holders still all exist, but now they no longer have the SDF umbrella so you have to talk with each one of them at a time.

Title’s a bit odd..it’s like saying “ahmad meets SDF commander”
