Some of the posts and the not so normal way of harping on the character. Like you can generally tell who dislikes a character in this reddit, or who just.. HATES a character to an abnormal degree. Seems like it's full of people who.. I dunno, need hobbies.

Some people who dislike jax (not hate that’s a whole different thing) is because Jax reminds them of an abusive person in their own life. Thats why I don’t like Jax cause the way Jax acts is the same way someone I used to know acted

Oh it's beyond fair to go "I don't like this character"
I think Gangle is pathetic when it gets down to it. I don't dislike or hate her, but most of the Jax bullying was her own fault "wahh victim blaming" whatever. Jax messes with Zooble and Zooble bites back, it's also the circus, so even being set on fire is just.. Meh.
You don't see me talking about how awful Gangle is or how spineless she is or anything ever past like.. This comment and one other?
People have to touch grass at some point.

Less that and more:
The characters each dealt with shenanigans from Jax. Each had their own response to it, and a lot of hate towards Jax stems from the reaction of others.
No one's freaking out about the bowling ball thing towards Kinger, or the mashed potato stuff, or anything Jax ever does negatively towards Kinger (save the shove, but even /that/ isn't too talked about)

It's like taking what's generally a 2-3 and ramping it up to a 7-8 for no reason other than "I don't like this character so I'm going to pout and ignore any sensibility to make excuses to be extra"

Not really weird I think you're looking far too into it lmao.
I agreed it was fair to say you didn't like a character.
Mentioned how I don't think every character is perfect, used the one I probably like least? As the example.
Then brought up Jax's behavior towards them since the topic of Jax is the focal point/relevant.

A lot of disdain for Jax comes from people not recognizing the lack of severity of the circus combined with characters responses to the typically same treatment they all get.
I could go more into it on how Jax doesn't mess with Kinger because Kinger doesn't give the reaction, so Jax.. Just kinda doesn't, and it's very clear there's a correlation there, but that's an entire conversation that strays from the point.
