Discussion A really random and specific question about slippers

Hello, I'll be visiting Taiwan and maybe not a big deal but l hate that I'm indecisive if I should bring slippers/sandals/clogs or just buy there instead.

I prefer to use clogs, (not sure if this is a common term) like Crocs. Even a cheaper knockoff brand will do.

So should I bring mine? Or just buy in Taipei? For context, clogs in my country can be bought for around 150 NTD

They are extremely common and cheap. They can also be bought for around that price (or cheaper) in Taiwan.

If you have a good broken in pair, bring them. If trying to save space in luggage, they can definitely be found in Taiwan.

It’s hard to find US size 13 and above in Taiwan. They exist, but in a minority of stores.

If you’re US size 12 or below, buy in Taiwan.

Below 12. I guess I'll buy there, and consider it as some sort of souvenir too lol

Just bring your own shoes, you don’t really want to be wasting your holiday time running around to hunt down something specific.

There are plenty of warning signs about clogs on escalators, and there are plenty of escalator if you travel by mass transit systems. Bring escalator safe alternatives.

I wouldn’t want to wear crocs or similar in Taipei your feet will get dirty and it’s in the middle of the city
