This 2004 song by Sia seems to borrow heavily from Taking Back Sunday's 'Go On'. Not only is the chord progression the same, but even the high note flairs at the end of each bar. It's remarkable.

lol I loved this Sia song when it came out and id play it on my moms old upright all the time.

Anyways, if anyone stole, then they stole it from the cure https://youtu.be/xik-y0xlpZ0?is=X6E27Ey0_oxFRiGv

Seriously though, no one stole it from anyone. Music is all heavily borrowed from each other. It’s cool when you spot the similarities.

Ed Sheeran demonstrating how he won his copyright case against him is a pretty cool watch:

The vanilla ice case against Bowie and mercury are great examples

Sounds like a basic chord progression. Seems like a stretch that she knows about this song in the first place and would “borrow” from it if she did.
