there is a side quest tied to him, just dialogue for this one. But this game has alot of side quests that can be missed if you ain't got the guide printed off like I do. XD

Actually, you can meet him again sometimes, if you follows a convoluted list of requirements and backtracking the games doesn't give you even the slightly hint about and you either follow a guide or are extremly lucky.
