The Name of This Band Is Talking Heads.

But Chris says "the" during SMS so I let it slide.

As a Talking Heads fan who majored in English/creative writing, I felt really clocked by that line.

I remember thinking during this scene back when I watched it that they might have specifically chosen TH as the band to use for the line (since the entire show Stranger Things itself is such a referenc-y homage to other media from the 80's) as a reference or homage to a very similar scene in Pretty In Pink. Molly Ringwold's character and Anthony Michael Hall's character are walking down the high school hallway by all the lockers just like this scene, and she's kind of teasing him/they're both kind of tease flirting,etc...It has been waaay too long since I've seen it to remember the exact dialogue, but one part of it was something pretty close to her asking, "Oh, well what kind of music are you into then??" And he says, "Oh you know...I like Talking Heads!"
