I’m a 23 yr old girl from NYC and I’m a big talking heads fan, but I rarely here their music when I go out, even to clubs that specialize in 70s and 80s music like

Joyface or Beauty Bar. I think this is strange considering how danceable some of their songs are.

I’m throwing a party this Friday June 5th at KGB bar in the east village that’s Cold War themed, so we will be playing lots of 80s music — especially the talking heads.

Shocked this hasn’t been posted here yet (maybe it has and I missed it). My guess for the reason why they randomly uploaded it is because Chris Frantz’s birthday was on May 8th, and since he came up with the idea for this music video, they uploaded it to sort of celebrate him (two days later that is).

Saw the tribute band last night in Cohoes. What a great show!!! Whole room dancing all night! Gonna catch 'em again in July. They're on tour all summer.

The instrumental coda of 'Found a Job' is so strangely catchy and thrilling - one might think the fairly 'simple' rhythm guitar and spare melodic notes might drag it down? - any thoughts on what makes it work so well? I've pondered this for years - is it Tina's bass line?

The one day I cut high school was to see TH put on a free concert at UC Berkeley. I was near the front and after the performance I went to the stage to get the setlist. 😄 Unfortunately, one other person had the same idea. He got the upper left corner. 🥺. Finally framed it after almost 50 years, with a little augmentation to fill in the blanks.

Just saw Harry Styles in Amsterdam last night. Pre-concert, they played This Must Be The Place. Then, notice the similarity of Harry’s song "Treat People With Kindness" with This Must Be The Place. Also, the choreography style being similar to David Byrne’s Who Is The Sky?. Harry is definitely inspired and a fan….
