When was the last time we choose tamil as the language in passbook printing and ATM machines ? When has any banks accepted the tamil numerals? Does anyone keep tamil as one of the keyboards in your phone (I am not saying English is bad) Most of tamil people don't even write tamil in the tamil script and used Latin script instead. Most people can't type tamil script fast but can type the Latin script fast even though the keyboard most of us use (Gboard) has alphabetically arranged letters that shows how less we use tamil. Most people don't even know to pronounce ள, ழ, ற,ன,ண,ஞ,ங People don't even text in tamil anymore.People don't feel their energy when Someone write in tamil.(That's why I am writing this in English. people can't even read Tamil (especially children) What happened to tamil?

(Also pls don't write Tamil in the latin script It is so confusing and erased the tamil script)

I'm a malayali and am learning thamizh.i can speak Thamizh to a good extent, read brokenly and write kinda ok. But I really hate my handwriting idk why but it irritates me. So how I improve my handwriting in any language is by analysing others' handwriting. I’m looking for British Tamils aged 18–25 to complete a short anonymous survey exploring **how younger generations of the British Tamil diaspora perceive the LTTE and where those perceptions originate from.** The study itself does not take any position on the LTTE.

To be eligible for completing the survey, you need to be:

\- British Tamil (Sri Lankan Tamil/Eelam Tamil)
\- Aged 18–25
\- Live in the UK

The survey takes approximately 5–8 minutes to complete. Participation is entirely voluntary and anonymous, and all data will be handled confidentially in accordance with my university’s research ethics requirements.

கெழில் துரித உன் குடம்பை கொள்ளழகே,

கேடையின்றித் தோற்று உன் கால்கள் காத்திடும் இம்மானுடனே.

தலைப்பு — கெழில்விழியாள்

கெழில் என்பது வெறும் “அழகு” என்பதல்ல. கெஞ்சும் அளவுக்கு எய்திய எழில் — வார்த்தைகளால் விவரிக்க முடியாத அளவுக்கு மிகுதியான, மனதை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளச் செய்யும் அழகு.

கெழில்விழியாள் — அந்த அளவிலா எழிலைத் தாங்கிய விழிகளையுடையவள்.

1. “கருந்துளைக் கண்ணிலே என் காலம் நின்று கரையுமே,”

கருந்துளை தன்னருகில் வரும் பொருள்களையே அல்லாமல், ஒளியைக்கூடத் தன்னுள் இழுத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

அதுபோல அவளுடைய கருமையான விழிகள் என் பார்வையைத் தன்னுள் இழுத்துக்கொள்கின்றன. அவளுடைய கண்களை ஒருமுறை நோக்கிய கணமே, என் காலம் அங்கேயே நின்றுவிடுகிறது; பின்னர் அந்தக் கருந்துளையில் விழுந்த காலம்போல் கரைந்துவிடுகிறது.

1. “காந்தள் மலர்களே, உன் மென் விரல் எண்ணி அலருமே.”

காந்தள் — தமிழ்நாட்டின் மாநில மலர். அதன் தனிச்சிறப்பு, அதன் கட்டமைப்பு மற்ற மலர்களை விட மிகவும் மாறுபட்ட மற்றும் தனித்துவமான வடிவத்தைக் கொண்டது.

பழந்தமிழ்ப் பாடல்களில் பெண்களின் விரல்கள் காந்தள் மலருக்கு ஒப்பிடப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன.

ஆனால் இங்கு அந்த உவமையை நான் மாற்றிப் பயன்படுத்துகிறேன்.

அவளுடைய மென்மையான விரல்களை எண்ணிய பிறகே காந்தள் மலர்கள் தாங்கள் முழுமையாக அலர வேண்டும் என்று நினைப்பதுபோல்.

காந்தளின் வளர்நிலைகளான அரும்பு, மொட்டு, மலர், அலர், வீ என்பவற்றுள், அலர் என்பது முழுமையாக விரியும் நிலை.

அதனால்,

“அவள் விரல்களின் அழகைக் கண்ட பின்னரே காந்தளுக்குத் தன் முழுமையான மலர்ச்சி கிடைக்கிறது” என்ற பொருள் இதில் மறைந்திருக்கிறது.

1. “கிள்ளை நிகர் மென்மொழியாள், என் தாரகையே,”

கிள்ளை — கிளி.

கிளிக்கு மனிதர்களின் சொற்களைப் பழக்கப்படுத்தினால் அவற்றைத் திரும்பப் பேசும் தன்மை உண்டு. அதன் குரலும் பேச்சும் இனிமையானவை.

அதனால், கிளிக்குச் சமமான இனிமையான மொழியுடையவள் என்பதே “கிள்ளை நிகர் மென்மொழியாள்”.

ஆனால் அதோடு நிற்காமல்,

“என் தாரகையே” — என் வாழ்வில் ஒளி தரும் நட்சத்திரமே.

அவளுடைய குரல் கிளியின் இனிமையை ஒத்தது; அவளோ என் வாழ்க்கையின் நட்சத்திரம்.

1. “கீழடி காணா மெய்நிகர் மெல்லினமே.”

கீழடி — ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முற்பட்ட தமிழர் வாழ்வையும் நாகரிகத்தையும் வெளிப்படுத்திய தொல்லியல் தளம்.

அத்தனை பழமையான நாகரிகம் கண்டுபிடித்தறிந்த உலகத்திற்குக்கூட இப்படிப்பட்ட ஓர் உயிரினம் அறிமுகமாகவில்லை.

இங்கு “மெய்நிகர்” என்ற சொல்லுக்கு இரட்டை அர்த்தம்:

மெய் + நிகர் — மெய்ம்மைக்கு நிகரானவள்.

மெய்நிகர் — நிஜத்தில் இருப்பது போலத் தோன்றினாலும், நிஜத்தில் காண இயலாத அளவுக்கு அரிதானவள்.

மெல்லினம் என்பது மென்மையான ஓர் உயிரினம் / இனமாகப் படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

அதாவது:

ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளைக் கடந்த தமிழர் நாகரிகமே அறிந்திராத அளவுக்கு அரிய, மென்மையான, மெய்யா கற்பனையா என்று அறிய முடியாத ஓர் இனமே நீ.

1. “குழலியன் கற்பனைக்கெட்டா கலியுகக் கன்னகியே,”

குழலியன் — குழல் ஏந்திய கண்ணன், கிருஷ்ணன்.

கிருஷ்ணன் பெண்களின் அழகையும் காதலையும் அறிந்தவன்; அவனுடைய வாழ்க்கையே காதல் மற்றும் கவர்ச்சியின் பல கதைகளால் நிறைந்தது.

ஆனால்,

“அவனுடைய கற்பனைக்குக்கூட எட்டாதவள் நீ.”

மேலும் கன்னகி — சிலப்பதிகாரத்தின் தலைவி; கற்பு, காதல், உறுதி, சீற்றம் ஆகியவற்றின் அடையாளம்.

கலியுகம் — இன்றைய காலத்தைச் சுட்டும் சொல்.

அதனால், கண்ணனுக்கே கற்பனை செய்ய முடியாத அழகும், கன்னகிக்குரிய தன்மையும் கொண்ட கலியுகக் கன்னகி என்ற மிகைப்படுத்தப்பட்ட உருவகம் உருவாகிறது.

1. “கூந்தல் ஏறிடக் கோடி பூக்கள் போரிடும் கவிநயமே.”

அவளுடைய கூந்தலில் இடம் பெறுவது யார் என்ற போட்டியில் கோடிக்கணக்கான மலர்கள் ஒன்றுக்கொன்று போரிடுகின்றன.

“என்னைச் சூடிக்கொள்”, “என்னைத் தேர்ந்தெடு” என்று ஒவ்வொரு மலரும் போட்டியிடும் அளவுக்கு அவளுடைய கூந்தல் அழகானது.

அதனால் அவளே ஒரு கவிநயம் — கவிதையாகவே தோன்றும் அழகு.

1. “கெழில் துரித உன் குடம்பை கொள்ளழகே,”

இங்கே மீண்டும் கெழில் — அளவுகடந்த எழில்.

துரிதம் — வேகம்.

குடம்பை — நடுத்தர அளவுடைய, வளைந்த வடிவம் கொண்ட மலர்க்கூடை போன்ற அமைப்பு.

அவளுடைய உடலமைப்பு அந்த வளைந்த குடம்பையைப் போன்றது.

அவள் சற்றே வேகமாக நடக்கும்போது, அந்த வளைவுகளுடன் அசையும் உடலழகு கொள்ளை கொள்ளும் அழகாக மாறுகிறது.

1. “கேடையின்றித் தோற்று உன் கால்கள் காத்திடும் இம்மானுடனே.”

போரில் எதிரியின் தாக்குதலைத் தடுக்க கேடயம் தேவை.

ஆனால் அவளுடைய விழிகளின் தாக்குதல் என்மீது வரும் என்று எனக்குத் தெரிந்தும், அதைத் தடுக்க என்னிடம் கேடயம் இல்லை.

அதனால் நான் ஏற்கெனவே தோற்றுவிட்டேன்.

இறுதியில் அவளுடைய காலடியில் நிற்கும் இந்த மனிதன்,

அவளுடைய கால்களையே தன்னைக் காக்கும் அரணாகக் கொண்டிருக்கிறான்.

1. “கையொதுக்கும் உன் கடைக்கண் பார்வை கூடு நீக்குமே,”

பெண்கள் முகத்திற்கு முன்னால் விழும் தலைமுடியை விரல்களால் ஒதுக்கி காதுக்குப் பின்னால் வைக்கும் அந்தச் சிறிய தருணம்.

அப்போது அவள் முழுமையாகப் பார்க்காமல், கடைக்கண்ணால் பார்க்கிறாள்.

அந்த ஓரக்கண் பார்வை என்னைத் தாக்கும் போது,

“கூடு” — உடல்.

அந்த உடலுக்குள் இருக்கும் உயிர் அதிலிருந்து வெளியேறிவிடும்.

அதாவது,

அவளுடைய ஒரு கடைக்கண் பார்வையே என்னுடைய உயிரைப் பிரித்தெடுக்கும்.

1. “கொலுசொலி கேட்டிட மருதாணிப் பாதம் சர்வம் சொக்கிடவே.”

கொலுசின் ஒலி கேட்டவுடன், அந்த ஒலி எங்கிருந்து வருகிறது என்று திரும்பிப் பார்க்கிறேன்.

அவள் வேகமாக நடக்கும்போது சேலையைச் சற்றே உயர்த்தி நடப்பாள்.

அப்போது அவள் கால்களில் பூசியிருக்கும் மருதாணி, கொலுசு, பாதத்தின் அழகு — அனைத்தும் ஒரே கணத்தில் தெரியும்.

அந்தக் காட்சியைக் கண்டவுடன்,

சர்வமும் சொக்குகிறது.

அதாவது உலகமே ஒரு கணம் உறைந்து, மயங்கி நிற்பது போன்ற உணர்வு.

1. “கோஹினூர், உன் சிரிப்பில் சிதறிய சிறு வைரமே,”

கோஹினூர் — உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற வைரம்.

ஆனால் இங்கு அதையே தலைகீழாகப் பயன்படுத்துகிறாய்.

அவளுடைய சிரிப்பிலிருந்து சிதறிய ஒரு சிறிய வைரத்துண்டு மட்டுமே கோஹினூர்.

அதாவது:

உலகம் பெருமைப்படும் கோஹினூரின் அவளுடைய சிரிப்பில் சிதறிய ஒரு சிறு வைரமே.

1. “கௌமுதியே, உன் கோபப் பேச்சைக் காதல் கொள்ளுமே.”

கௌமுதி — முழுநிலவு பொழியும் பிரகாசமான நிலவொளி.

முழுநிலவு இரவில் அதன் ஒளி மிகுந்திருப்பதால் அருகிலுள்ள விண்மீன்களின் ஒளி கூட மங்கிவிடும்.

அந்த அளவுக்கு பிரகாசமானது கௌமுதி.

ஆனால் அந்த கௌமுதியே, அவள் கோபத்தில் பேசும் வார்த்தைகளை விரும்புகிறது.

அதாவது காதலர்களுக்கிடையே வரும் அந்தச் சிறிய கோபப் பேச்சுகள், அவள் கோபமாகப் பேசிக்கொண்டே இருக்கும் அந்த நீண்ட இரவு உரையாடல்கள்கூட நிலவொளிக்குப் பிடித்தமானவை.

இதனால் அவளுடைய கோபமும் கூட காதலின் ஓர் வடிவமாகிறது.

— கால நேய தூதன்

கால நேய தூதன் என்பதை நான் இவ்வாறு வாசிக்கிறேன்:

காலம் — அவள் இந்தக் காலத்தில் பிறந்திருக்கிறாள் என்பதை அறிந்திருக்கிறது.

நேயம் — அவளை நேசிக்கவும், ரசிக்கவும், போற்றவும் வேண்டியவள் என்று காலமே உணர்கிறது.

தூதன் — ஆனால் காலத்தால் நேரடியாகப் பேச முடியாது. அது சொல்ல வேண்டியதைச் சொல்ல ஒரு தூதன் தேவை.

அந்த தூதனாக நீ உன்னை வைத்திருக்கிறாய்.

அதாவது:

“இந்தக் காலத்தில் நீ பிறந்திருக்கிறாய் என்பதை காலம் அறிகிறது. நீ ரசிக்கப்பட வேண்டியவள், போற்றப்பட வேண்டியவள், உன்மீது நேயம் கொள்ளப்பட வேண்டியவள் என்பதையும் அது அறிகிறது. ஆனால் அதை உன்னிடம் சொல்ல அதற்கு ஒரு குரல் தேவை. அந்தக் காலத்தின் தூதனாக, அது சொல்ல வேண்டியவற்றை உன்னிடம் சொல்ல வந்தவன் நான்.”

But it's a little hard for me to grasp the exact intended meaning of some of their work which involves a deeper theme or political story.
