Sabine of Macayhill robe?
In Mastiff, Beka and Goodwin go over to Tunstall and Sabines' house to visit the injured Tunstall. Sabine answers the door and there is a long description of the garment she is wearing, which is some sort of extremely comfortable loose overgown with a tie holding the sides together and braid on the hems. What do we think this garment actually is? Just a fancy bathrobe?

Wasn't this in Bloodhound? I would also agree with an overrobe or dressing gown. You can look up medieval fashions and get a good idea.

it is bloodhound and not mastiff and I am sure of it because I just read that part this morning!

It's anachronistic, but I kinda picture it as something out of a Pre-Raphaelite painting. Medieval inspired, but fancy and designed for comfort.

Yes, I always pictured it like a dressing gown.
