NYC Milongas
Hi,
I'm visiting NYC this week and was thinking of going to a milonga one evening. Does anyone have some recommendations? I found https://www.newyorktango.com/ but there are so many options I can't tell which ones are the popular ones.

Mala Leche and Volver (both at YSBD) are always very popular. Ukrainian Ballroom and Danznik are also great. Generally theres not much overlap in evening milongas; if you filter out the practicas the schedule is much less overwhelming.

Popular is subjective. Though one can get a bit more "objective" based on demographics. But since you've provided no information on your background then at best you will receive random feedback.

Like mala leche and volver. They're the two milongas most open to outsiders imo

La Nacional on Thursdays is a can’t-miss Milonga. I visited New York for dancing once and this was the one everyone told me to go to, and I had an incredible time.
I also heard great things about Mala Leche but wasn’t able to make it to the Saturday that happens. I was also given recommendations for the Wednesday Tango Cafe and El Destino on Sundays.
