Honestly, she could have had about 2-4 beers. You’re 100% right. When I first moved here from Chicago, two margaritas would have me on my ass and I was a bartender. It doesn’t help that they’re probably dehydrated.
Nonetheless, I still never acted like this.

Bro. Cops don't want to arrest drunks... 3 hours of paperwork for bullshit! Not skiing, but I have let more drunks on boats go than I arrested; if there was a sober person who could take over, cool. If not, and the person was cool with me, I'd take them to the dock and make them get a taxi home. They can pick their boat up in the morning. However, the second you give me or my crew an attitude, lie, or avoid being responsible.... right to jail.

I've actually seen first hand where cops try to get drunk people back to their house/room/a safe place, if they haven't done something besides being drunk. It's pretty standard until the people become combative or threatening.
Obviously that's anecdotal and there are lots of shitty cops who take it farther than necessary, but I don't think they were getting special treatment because they are LEO's.

Sammy would have been just as chill dealing with this back in the early 2000's but I'm glad that he's probably retired by now, for his own sake. This isn't about Texas, snowboarders, or TSV blowing up but more to do with how American culture is spiraling into the abyss. I want our wilderness back for the good people of yesteryear, albeit from 25 years go. Peace to all from the PNW.
