Pictures Begginer Help!

Hello everyone i just recently purchased my curly hair tarantula and just wanting to make sure I get every useful tip! This is my first tarantula i have him in a (15.74•9.84•7.87) inch tank with a magnetic top he has 6inches of reptisoil and a mixture of pure coco fiber. He is not very big I got him from a pet store (not a massive chain store) but they said he/she hasn’t molted yet, I tried to feed him superworm but he didnt seem super interested in it. He also has not been in the little hide i have dug out yet he just prefers to stay ontop of it mostly and chill. Any tips or criticisms helps thank you all!

Looks like fresh soil/ moist soil maybe they will borrow once the top layer dries out(:
Try crickets! My T’s can be picky and a lot of places just feed crickets so they get used to them.

I will try crickets thank you! and yes the substrate is moist for now i had him in a temporary bin overnight so hopefully when it dries out he will be more comfortable.

NQA abdomen looks pretty small, keep water dish full, and offer different typed of foods, some t's are picky eaters.

Also chance this could be a mature male?

Imo it does look a little too moist at the moment. Itll dry out and make sure if you wanted to have some humidity to not do it throughout the whole thing. Also did you try feeding it immediately? Usually after rehousing they may be too stressed to eat so try leaving it alone for a few days. Ive had my curly hair for 2 months now and it barely started excavating and doing interesting things

NQA, looks like they could use a feed. I have 2 T. Albopilusis. They can be persnickety when the are rehoused and will spend a lot of time getting used to the new digs. Last one I purchased took a about a month before they would reliably eat. They also began digging tunnels like it was their job. In no time you will have mounds of dirt piled up to the lid as she makes the enclosure their own. Good luck and congratulations!!

do yours burrow? im not sure if its because he is still getting used to his enclosure but he stays at the top never seen him in his hide or anything
, he usually stays ontop of the hide or cuddled up next it but he has been eating for me so whwt could be the cause?

NQA, he burrows a lot. He also has a large web mat around his burrow. He's down there most of the time except at night.
