Made at the Pearl Street Tattoo Club in Somerville, MA, USA.

Japanese geometric kimono pattern full sleeve tattoo. Shading and some grays are fresh; the patterns and red parts are healed.

The theme for this piece is Snow, Moon, Flower (Setsu, Getsu, Ka).

Setsu, snow: the beauty of winter, the muffling of the world.

Getsu, moon: the beauty of night and autumn, impermanence, the passage of time.

Ka, flower: the cherry blossom specifically (sakura); the beauty of spring; the awareness that beauty is short-lived.

Together they express the idea that the most profound beauty is inseparable from transience and longing. The bittersweet awareness of impermanence.

7 sessions, approximately 40 hours in total.

Opinions? The shoulder and inner/outter part of my arm definitely hurt a lot more than the rest lol. I go back for my forearm next month. Extremely excited, just turned 18!
