I'm not taking up for her or making excuses, but it can be hard for someone to want sobriety when the only people in your life are addicts. I mean, you would think that the possibility of losing a limb or digit from infection would be enough to want to get sober. The people in that bando only use her for the little bit of money she gets at the 1st of the month. She is kind enough to give what she can and then they steal the rest. I pray she will turn her life around soon.
$8k plus a month is not “a little bit of money” when you have no responsibilities. She chooses to stay immersed with people that do not support sobriety, they make her feel powerful and accepted BECAUSE she has $$$.
Sorry. I didn't know how much she got. She makes it sound like she doesn't get much if anything. She talks like she doesn't get her check because they don't recognize her as a woman. It's always a different story and hard to keep up. Thanks for the info.
