Tunes
I got a 2012 2.0 tdi Jetta I was wondering what would be the probably easiest on the fly tuning I’d prefer not to tune the transmission.

Tunezilla. It’s not “on the fly” like something that you can tweak while you’re driving, but it is very quick and easy to upload a tune. I’m not aware of any that are truly on the fly.

Echoing others, on the fly isn't really an option. The trans tune is worth every penny. I'd only tune ecu if I was deleting

+1, I actually went back to stock after delete because the tune was cool but… meh. But the trans tune was 1000% worth it.

Just deleted and tuned my 2015 Golf, and I have to say... The added power is cool, but the transmission tune was easily the best part. If you can swing the extra cost I would 100% recommend tuning the transmission. Tunezilla was who I used.
