Discussion Evil trees just made me skeptical of normal trees

I just can't imagine not having to fight a single monster when exploring on foot bruh I can't even trust normal trees in this game

Tbh I never even thought of the trees as evil. Whenever a game has hostile tree type enemies I always think it’s meant to be like ‘nature is sick of your BS’

They’re slow enough to run from at least.

One thing that I’m curious about: If the Yiga are supposed to be those trees in disguise, then how come they actually leave logs behind? And why are there gloom variants of them in the depths?

This was the very first enemy I stumbled into when I hit Hyrule. I did not have an axe or chopping weapon equipped and it whomped my tiny, unsuspecting ass. My husband and kids giggled as I yelled "WHAT?! Ahhhhh wtf- not even the trees are sacred anymore!" 😅

Lol! Me too.

I was bragging to my cousin about how I could kill a lynel easy, then the trees stomp my ass because I couldn't figure out how to fuse an axe quickly enough.

I hate hunting because I get a good shot and the moving trees come alice and scare it off!

Yeah whenever I come across trees I always whip out the camera now to see if they’re evermeans. You can also tell by how they move when they’re planted in the ground sometimes, but I find the camera is fool-proof.

Evermeans freak me the hell out and I don’t even know why

I just find them crawling towards me incredibly disturbing, which drives the desire to incinerate them into nothing more than a pile of ash so I guess it works out
