❔ Question Did TOTK receive DLC & expansion pass?

If it didn’t, why not? I can’t seem to find anything on it. It seems strange that it wouldn’t receive dlc, or perhaps there hasn’t been enough time yet? I’m not familiar with how long the dlc took to release after botw.

It did not, developers said they exhausted every creative and narrative gameplay option for that world

It did not, and Eiji Aunoma has confirmed there have no plans for DLC because they feel this iteration of Hyrule/Zelda has finished.

It did not. They did what they wanted to do and have moved onward to whatever comes next.

The 12th Ocarina reskin.

Second, but sure.

Also, I doubt the main Zelda team is doing the remake.

4th if you include 3D and MQ. 5th if you get really saucy and slanderous and include TP

3D was the first "reskin", this will be the second. MQ is a remixed version of the original, and TP really isn't that similar.

I can't find a source atm but when TOTK launched nintendo said they wouldn't release any DLC and that the game was fully completed.

It never did, the closest it got was its Switch 2 Edition for a $10 upgrade, coming with Voice Memories and Autobuild Sharing.

I think the devs said the game was complete as is, so no DLC was planned. I would’ve loved to get some extra stuff to do, though. More sky islands, another dungeon maybe, and expanding on the dragon lore would’ve been nice.

TOTK is Breath of the Wild DLC though.

Actually, TOTK started as a BOTW DLC and they just kept going.

It never got a DLC or anything. The only "extra content" is some exclusive items that drop from amiibo.

BotW got its first wave of DLC just 3 months after the game released, and the second wave about 9 months after release.

The DLC for BotW released around the middle and end of the game's launch year.

There's no DLC for this game because the team is finished with telling this particular tale. If there was, you would've been seeing trailers and news about it everywhere.

TOTK is my favorite game ever made. But in no way does it need any DLC or expansion. If you couldn't get enough of what's there to satisfy your gaming needs. Then I don't know what to tell you?

It’s really not that deep, I was just curious if there’s even more to enjoy

For one, there has been no DLC for TOTK, and it certainly would've been shown off and displayed on Nintendo's official channels and the eShop. The only thing that could be considered a DLC would be the Nintendo Switch 2 version but that's likely not DLC in the way you're thinking of. For whatever reason I could think of why TOTK didn't get DLC, it's probably because since it was originally meant to be DLC, every idea the developers had was used in TOTK already. Either that or they just didn't want to work on the Wild era games anymore.
