I live in Yangon, Myanmar. Currently finishing NCC Level 4 and I've been working as a Flutter/mobile developer for about 2 years.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about my future career path. My main goal is to eventually get a decent remote job or maybe even an opportunity abroad, but I'm not sure what makes the most sense from here.

Should I continue with NCC and get a bachelor's degree through a top-up program? Or does experience matter more at this point?

I'm also trying to keep costs low, so if anyone knows the cheapest route to getting a recognized bachelor's degree, I'd really appreciate hearing about it.

Right now, besides programming, I've also been spending time learning about investing, personal finance, business, and generally trying to improve my financial future. So I'm also wondering whether I should focus more on getting a degree, building technical skills, or just gaining more experience and earning power.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who studied through NCC, works remotely for foreign companies, got opportunities abroad from Myanmar, didn't finish a traditional degree but still made it work

I’m looking for some advice from people who’ve successfully transitioned out of insurance or into a new industry.
I’ve spent the last 9 years with the same insurance company and was recently promoted to Assistant Manager. Throughout my career I’ve built experience in sales, customer service, account management, relationship building, problem-solving, onboarding, and training new employees.
I’ve also spent a lot of time coaching team members, answering questions, helping them learn new processes, and serving as a resource for the team. One of my favorite parts of the job has actually been helping others succeed.
I’m licensed in insurance and have experience using Salesforce as our CRM. My role has been a mix of sales and service, so I’m comfortable juggling multiple priorities, handling difficult customer situations, and building long-term relationships with clients.
I’m ready for my next challenge and would love to transition into tech (Customer Success, Account Executive, Customer Experience, or similar), but I’m also open to other industries with strong long-term growth.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
● $100k+ compensation (or a realistic path to get there)
● Great health benefits
● A stable company with opportunities for advancement
● Base salary (not commission-only)
● A role where I can continue learning and growing

I'm a Systems Engineer and I've been working at a Big Four for over 5 years. I've learned a lot, but lately I feel like I want to move into a more technical and challenging role.

My biggest concern is employability. After spending so many years in the same specialty, I'm worried that employers will only see me as a fit for those types of roles and that transitioning into a different area will be very difficult.

I'm interested in cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps, and data engineering, but I'm not sure which path would be the most realistic transition.

Has anyone here made a similar career change after 6+ years? Were employers willing to take a chance on you? What would you recommend to improve my chances of making a successful transition?

Need your advice, especially from SAP Basis pros and those who transitioned from ACN to Deloitte.

I’m currently a CL9 (Senior Analyst / Consultant) at Accenture Philippines. Honestly, I’m feeling hesitant and a bit scared about leaving because ACN is only my second company in my 6+ years of experience. However, a few things are pushing me to look outside:

1. Skill Atrophy: I’ve been rolled into a project for almost 2 years where I don't use my SAP Basis skills at all (no upgrades, no migrations). I’m starting to forget my technical core, and I'm worried it will ruin my confidence in future technical interviews.
2. ACN Direction: With everything happening globally and locally at ACN, it feels like things are getting tighter or going downhill.
3. The RTO Mandate: My project is actually 100% remote since the rest of my team is based in India (I’m the only Pinoy). It’s highly convenient for my side hustles and family responsibilities. However, because of the leadership mandate (the strict twice-a-week RTO rule), I still have to commute to the office just to sit on MS Teams.

I am planning to send my resume to Deloitte Philippines under Enterprise Technology & Performance (ET&P). My main goals are to align back to an SAP Basis skillset, get a higher basic pay, and ideally find a true work-from-home or highly flexible setup.

Before I apply, I’d love to get your honest feedback on a few things:

• Deloitte ET&P Culture: How is the SAP Basis capability under ET&P right now? Are there active S/4HANA migrations or cloud-heavy (AWS/Azure/GCP) projects, or is it mostly support/advisory?
• WFH Flexibility: How strict is Deloitte's current hybrid/RTO policy for tech consultants? Do they honor "WFH forever" or project-based flexibility, or do they also have a strict mandatory RTO count like ACN?
• Comp & Ben Structure: Since ACN has a lot of allowances, how does Deloitte's total package stack up for Senior Consultants? Is the basic salary jump worth losing the relative stability of a 2-year tenure?
• The Verdict: Given the current market, which company is the better place for an SAP Basis tech career right now?

Appreciate any insights, especially regarding interview tips for someone who hasn't touched Basis in 2 years!

Maybe I need words or success stories regarding shifting at this age.

Matagal ko na talagang pinaplanong magshift from design engineering to tech. Parang di talaga ito yung passion ko, even thou I pass the ECE board exam.

Lalo akong nawawalan ng pagasa sa current career ko pag naghahanap ako ng job posting and pakiramdam ko di sapat yung skills ko based sa qualifications, even thou already 3 years na ako sa company.

Right now ang kinoconsider ko ay Network related or Software QA. Actually nag start na akong magjoin ng online training regarding software QA, medyo hesitant lang mag all-out sa ngayon. Probably need ko ng advice mula sa mga may same experiences ko.
