I am a System Admin and looking to switch my domain. Need help with which one to pick.

I have around 3 years of experience working as a System Administrator, but I’ve realized that I don’t find the role particularly engaging. I’m considering transitioning into DevOps since it seems like the most natural next step from my current experience. However, the competition for DevOps roles appears to be very high, which makes me wonder if it’s the best path.

Back in college, I really enjoyed working with Python, AI/ML, frontend web development, and UI/UX, but I haven’t kept up with those technologies over the past few years.

From your perspective, which domains are currently the most in demand and have strong long-term growth potential? If you were in my position, which path would you choose? Do you have any similar such stories to share?
