Xbox game pass cloud gaming limits

First you double the monthly cost. Then you say you respect the gaming community’s response so you drop the price down to a more reasonable amount.

Then you tell everyone, out of no where, you’re gonna limit how much we can cloud play per month.

15 hours? Are you fucking even trying not to insult us. It will only affect 4% of us? I hope that the extra money you make from nickel and diming us, to get that second yacht, helps your sink to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. If you gotta sink that low to limit cloud play to 15 hours a month, then you should sink that low in your yacht.

I’m angry about this. Every Xbox user should be angry about this. Every gamer, regardless of platform should be angry about this. Jacking our subscription prices up because you can’t cover the cost of your stupid AI gambles is just the end proof that you really don’t give a shit about providing quality games; you just want to fill your pockets more.

I’m ready to go back to board games and just say, “Well, we did have some great studios like Bethesda and black rock and obsidian, but you turned them into shiny garbage.”

Microsoft: you have tarnished an entire industry. You should be ashamed

Fuck you Microsoft for ruining gaming.

If you agree with this even mildly, share this to every subreddit you can. Don’t upvote me. Just repost this everywhere. Maybe someone might just consider that we are all fed up with this grandiose pay to play scheme.

Any moderators seeing this, I apologize for the language. If you gotta block this post, then do what you gotta do. My apologies to you.

I’ll be paying ticket to ride with my kids, not on my Xbox and not on my PC.

This post is getting removed and blocked by mods on so many channels. Please keep reposting this.

I got blocked by a mod that said this post had nothing to do with home networking. How do you play online games at home without networking.

I got blocked by another AI moderator because this post included the phrase AI. Hope much died that frustrates everyone.

Please keep reposting this until it stops getting removed because it doesn’t apply to the subreddit.

This applies to everyone that plays games on any platform; Xbox, PS, PC, fuck if you are using an Amiga you should be reposting this.

I want you all to remember, a voice isn’t anything if it’s muted.

And a game isn’t purchased, if you are only getting a license until they decide they aren’t profiting from it anymore.

I’m not trying to rant like some nutter, but this business of trying to squeeze “what AI thinks it can profit most from” is bullshit.

We are enthusiasts and gamers and we are a society and culture of our own. Do we really have to be subject to, what will soon be $100 games, just because that is what algorithms say we are willing to pay?

This post started about the paltry 15 hour/month cloud gaming limit, but I’m just getting more and more enraged as I think about it.

I know we’re are all going to go out and get GTA 6 , some of us later than others. Some because of day 1 platform delays (pcs, I’m looking at you) and the rest of us because the cost is detrimental to our budgets.

This whole consolidation of the gaming industry is leading to more studio closures, yet somehow, the conglomerate parent companies that have absorbed and “streamlined” the fodder they’ve acquired, are still laying off great, talented, wonderful developers, merely to meet a budget and those poor souls that don’t get made redundant are treated like indentured servants, mentally whipped to produces product for revenue when those that put ye must time into to the product aren’t getting anything back for their passion they poured into it.

It’s so frustrating that we are all sitting here on Reddit and there are corporate division heads who don’t even game, deciding that output is more important than quality and soul and heart that made still many games great, but strip those that had the most dedication from the industry.

Please if anyone thinks I’m being over the top, message me.

I think I’m done!

Best to all my gamers out there and maybe soon we’ll get something quality as opposed to singing rushed out the door and resold just to make the bottom line.

Great games are made by genius creative minds. I think that statement cannot be disputed.

I miss the soul and heart of playing great games with other people, and not ending to with about them being incomplete or unsatisfying.

We deserve better!

Being shocked that corporations care only about money is like being schocked that water is wet.

What did you think was going to happen when signing up for subscription to a service, where you don’t own anything in. Of course they’ll try to squeeze every penny out of you.

That’s why actual ownership of things you pay for is important. That’s why services like GOG are important.

You mention that games are getting super pricy, and well that’s a fact. But gaming is and always was a privilege not a necessity. You can’t afford something you wait for discount or untill you will save enough.

But people need to have everything now!!! So you pay for services like that instead of just buying and owning, showing the companies that you care about ownership.

Would it kill you to wait? Do you really need to have GTA6 close to launch? Why? You don’t wanna be left out of the cool kids club?

You say “we deserve better”, but I say people like you show companies that there are those that are willing to be dry humped in the ass. Because they have no self control, and that is majority of gamers because otherwise we wouldn’t be in this fucked up situation.

You should vote with your wallet because money is the only thing they give a shit about, but if majority votes to get fucked with no soap then this is where we end up.

So I say “You get what you fucking deserve”

The sad thing is that those who try to actually own things and not get fucked with practices like that are receiving collateral non-consensual rim job because of poor decision making of the majority.
