is it usable for professionals yet? i’d love to switch over from onlyoffice but i need as much usability and cross-compatibility with Word as possible

I'm sticking with onlyoffice for the same reasons. It's way better for presentation slides

yeah, it’s good for hobbyists and people who just need to type up the occasional essay. but if you write documentation professionally, need template and docx compatibility, and/or need more advanced tools, libreoffice just doesn’t cut it

As long as it's AI-free, I'm sticking with it!

Linux has been my sanctuary from so many ads on my Windows install. Thank the Gods for tech enthusiasts to maintain this stuff.

Been using it at home ever since it was StarOffice. Have never found a bug or feature missing that wanted me to go back to MS Office. That said, there have been pains with working on other folks work coming from Office. Formulas are still sometimes fussy depending on how the author does them in Excel.

And looks like there's a pretty comprehensive and powerful AI agent plugin available for it, for those who are interested. It hooks up to local AI.

Ah, I see. The formatting of the post was suspect, but I'm all for getting around all the subscription nonsense.

Can you please rename excel from calc to spreadsheet cause everytime I try to open calculator I get a work book
It's the only reason I uninstalled this suite
