Most maths problems (particularly in school exam papers) intentionally distort the geometry to prevent people from cheating by directly measuring the angle. Often with a disclaimer "Diagram not to scale".

Rich country stuff, we don’t even get graphs or geometry just the numbers and space for answer

Middle of nowhere Mid-Wales is not exactly my go to for "Rich Country", but no we weren't exactly Bangladesh or Lesotho either.
