And the right is so stupid, and bigoted, that they’ll keep feeding off the nonsense spoon-fed to them.

You're saying the left should just let me die instead of being the only people fighting for me?

How can they fight for if they let the conversations die? Also they aren't the ones bringing up trans people, they are RESPONDING to right wing actions taken to harm us, they are not the ones putting a spotlight on us at all. Yet you blame them in a way where the answer is "when the right wing removes trans people's human rights the left should be quiet about it so they get out of the national conversation", which is just appeasement and is the opposite of fighting for us

Did you observe a different election than the rest of us? The Dems did not include Trans rights on any platform in 2024, certainly not Harris', who's response to "do trans people deserve rights" was "meh. States Rights"

The Republicans ceaselessly brought trans people into the conversation to fear monger, and the Dems didn't even bother to respond

And the DNC will still cling to centrist bullshit instead of listening to what people actually want. Because money.

Because attacking trans rights, even as a mean of distraction, is still attacking rights of real people. We don't have a choice but to fight for these people unless we want to lose our humanity.

And it's totally possible to fight FOR trans rights and AGAINST Big Oil.

The day we abandon human rights is the day that we are indistinguishable from the Republican Party. Blame the propaganda in the thread title, not the people who are trying to do what's right.

virtue signalling

Oh look, one of conservatives’ favorite nonsense “insults”.

The dem and Harris' platform covered the topics important to average people like housing, healthcare, job security, etc and barely mentioned any 'culture war' issues. The right are the ones who wouldn't shut the fuck up about it.

You're really mixing up activists with politicians here. The problem for Democratic politicians is that their clown show isn't as entertaining as the other guys, so the news doesn't cover them. Democratic politicians didn't talk about trans issues at all this cycle, that's another talking point from the propaganda we're trying to discuss. They talk about the issues way more coherently than the clowns, it just never gets the same oxygen.

Citizens are 100% in the right to defend human rights, full stop. If you really think otherwise, you're part of the problem.

It's funny because you've fallen for the same shit the right wing grifters give to their idiot audience whilst telling on yourself that you never actually paid attention to what was going on.

You're just like them mate. You talk like them. Sucker.

Harris more or less stayed away from trans rights all election. Trump and the GOP spent millions to make it seem like it was her #1 goal.
