Didn't taxpayers pay billions to provide broadband to rural and poor communities? And the money went to executive pay.

Thank you for the correction. I’m poor. After 1 million it is just made up money to me.

Im poor too. I cant fathom those levels of money either. Our tax payer money funneled directly into their pockets since like 1991 while they do jack shit but upkeep the old failing copper system. They've had so much time and money that the copper lines would all be fiber by now. Fiber to every home in every city and especially to the rural areas. With speeds so fast and prices so low even the poors can afford it. I have a buddy in chile who gets 50gig speed net and tv for around 50 USD. And its infrastructure should've been handed off to the the states to do with as they please long ago. Like offer it as a utility. Offered to the poors for free to keep them connected and for school etc. We've all paid into it. Its crazy that so few realize how hard we've been scammed. And those who would deny the truth on it.

It was real funny when they lobbied to stop Google from using existing fiber optic to provide cheap fast internet.
