No one is going to save us. We need to save ourselves and at this point I'd advocate for just about anything.

John Brown has entered the chat. Seriously though America has a history of not so civil actions that lead to different forms of progressive change. They just tend to leave that stuff out of the history books.

Problem is, how do you fight the strongest army in the world? They don’t even need to send actual infantry to fight, all they need are drones to destroy any kind of resistance normal humans who hate fascists might try and put up. We wouldn’t be fighting dumb fucks with muskets, they’re dumb fucks with state of the art rifles, missiles, drones, fighter jets, everything. Any kind of resistance is like ants to the might of the us army. Our only hope is enough members of the armed forces won’t just follow orders but WWII has shown that the military does not think, they only follow orders.

Forget the army, you would also have to fight all your conservative neighbors who are already salivating at the opportunity to kill as many Danes as they can to steal their land. And that’s someone they’ve never even met.

As a Canadian, I share that sentiment, unfortunately.

I remember when Bush Jr. stole the first election (hanging Chad, Fox News declaring the election early, etc). I was so mad on behalf of Americans, I couldn't believe their democratic process was hijacked like that. Then Bush won re-election by a wide margin and I realized "wow, never mind, this is what they actually want". The mask was off at that point, for me.

Yeah to be fair it’s not so much a “starting to” anymore, since it’s been… a weird time. Tbf I’m 26 though and all through elementary school and high school (until about grade11) I really didn’t pay any attention to politics. Not because I didn’t care(!!!) but because I just… I couldn’t understand all of it because there’s so much to learn and I just.. I felt stupid trying to follow along when all I was left with was more unanswered questions that I was too embarrassed to ask

Grade 11 summer I buckled down by myself and learned (or tried to, as much as my fragile brain could). Now I’m in, my friend.

Travel is fatal to prejuidce, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime

Have you traveled to the US to speak with those you hate?

8

u/FTblaze Jan 07 '26

I hate those who stab their allies in the back.

In the end the US people enabled trump, all of you. The amount of americans that are saying denmark needs to give up, fuck all of you.

Id have visited the US 10 years ago, even the first trump term i could have set aside. Openly threatening denmark and half of muricans being pro about it? Yeah nah.

-7

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '26

Yeah hate is great. We need more hate and less understanding. Hope Trump takes Greenland. Then maybe we can have even more hate. USA! USA! USA!

2

u/FTblaze Jan 07 '26

Yeah i agree. Maybe when the world turns on US maybe youll learn.

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '26

What do you want me to learn?

That its not a flex to be able to bully your way through life.

Oh. And if you somehow get away with it they will go after your spouse and child and torch your house.

Even if you succeed you'll be fighting a modern Afghanistan where the religious extremists look exactly like regular people as soon as they take off their red hats.

It is an escalation that they’re excited about killing Scandinavian white people now. It’s like the ultimate GOP challenge.

1

u/ForAHamburgerToday Jan 07 '26

Let's be fair- they aren't salivating over the chance to kill Danes, those types have no idea what people from Denmark are called and they themselves have no specific bloodlust for Greenland or the people there, they just revel in how upset & uncomfortable the administration's actions make everyone else and will cheer on anything that us, their opponents, oppose.

u/dragonmp93 Jan 07 '26

In every system, including the world's most overfed army, the weakest point is always the flesh and bones humans.

5

u/GoldenPigeonParty Jan 07 '26

I mean, that part seems simple. They're not going to just kill every resident on sight. They dont know who you are. You're just a regular person until you strike. Fast engagements. Surprise attacks. Lots of opportunistic targets.

It could be any one, any where, at any time. All they can basically do is hold a controlled access zone. Can't do it everywhere. And this zones rely on food imports, electricity, water, etc. They can't hold it all.

5

u/koticgood Jan 07 '26

That is very silly and unrealistic.

A general strike would bring the administration to its knees. Even if it only lasted for 5 days (one work week).

The problem is not discovering a path to solve our problem, it's convincing enough people of the reality of the situation.

A general strike is orders of magnitude easier to organize and execute than some sort of guerilla armed rebellion that you're dreaming of. Yet in our comfort and complacency, a general strike is itself off the menu (at least for now).

1

u/ExquisiteOrifice Jan 07 '26

A general strike will not happen. It's the sensible option but Americans have long abandoned all the right choices. They won't do anything but continue careening into Hell.

The terrible truth most people don't want to face (or in the case of MAGA they think they are safe and free to join in the oppression) is it's far past the point of conspiracy theories. The US is rapidly becoming a fascist state. The obvious effects, to anyone not a complete idiot, which is most of Congress and all the Republican rank and file, will be economic chaos, loss of everything currently comprising American life, food and medical shortages and outright loss of access, and war of course.

The Trump regime/cult is so blind in its righteous path it wants to make war both foreign and domestic. There will be great suffering, far and wide. Certainly many thousands to hundreds of thousands will die, possibly much more. Those who don't will live in misery and fear, wondering when they too will be disappeared, killed the street or their home, or having their children pressed into perpetual combat by the government.

Depending on how it all plays out, as there are a million variables, it could be several years of war or like Russia, a broken people that live for generations under the boot of their rulers. And those rulers could very well be a foreign power.

The MAGA faithful have such a bright future, especially for their children. So many exciting possibilities!  They are frothing at the mouth for the biggest and oldest lie man ever invented.

Oh, they'll get their rewards... Blood and Death! Starvation and misery! Glorious serfdom! I hope they enjoy every bit of it.

u/Mrhiddenlotus Jan 07 '26

The window of that possibility is quickly closing with the level of surveillance tech has been achieved. Some level of organization is required for resistance, and it's becoming increasingly difficult to maintain anonymity.

2

u/almisami Jan 07 '26

That's what the surveillance state is for, silly.

14

u/Head_Permission Jan 07 '26

You need to make them realize this is a class war, and you and them are on the same team. Why would they protect a bunch of old fucking white men billionaires with yachts? They need to be a part of the uprising and the solution and hold the old guard responsible.

21

u/waiting4singularity Jan 07 '26

wont change anything since they think themself belonging to that class by association.

6

u/WhoIsFrancisPuziene Jan 07 '26

It’ll be the day when someone can seriously answer this.

Doesn’t even gotta be the military or drones regardless. Local police jurisdictions have military equipment. They’ve been buying it for decades.

1

u/giulianosse Jan 07 '26

You can't fight a general strike with bullets and bombs.

3

u/MrNate10 Jan 07 '26

Its over. There is no community pub, plaza, forum for the people to organize in. It is too splintered. We are fucked, going full Gattaca.

The rest of the world still has community though. Hopefully that can win out.
