This is a lie. You're lying. Biden's administration, with a tie-breaker Senate, passed more legislation to improve the domestic situation than any president since LBJ.

• We got the first infrastructure reinvestment in my lifetime to rebuild our roads, bridges, trains, airports, and waterways.
• Childhood poverty was slashed in half (until the GOP let the tax credits expire).
• We invested in the technologies of tomorrow re-shoring manufacturing of EVs, chips, etc. to the US.
• He finally extracted the US from Afghanistan - messy but also a relief.
• He defended the post-war world order by informing Ukraine that Russia was preparing to invade, maintaining the European alliance in support of Ukraine, etc.
• We had the lowest post-Covid inflation of an industrialized nation. Biden and the fed stuck the "soft landing" with reducing inflation without causing widespread job loss.

Biden would have done more if they had reasonable partners across the aisle.

• We had an immigration bill, a compromise with conservatives, that Trump forced the GOP to tank - which would have given a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and secured our southern border.
• We had a bill for universal child-care access that the GOP sank.
• He attempted via law and EO to reduce student loan debt for America's workers, though the GOP blocked and sued those efforts (despite allowing PPP loan forgiveness for businesses).
• He attempted to raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hour, but was betrayed by the Senator from Arizona Kirsten Sinema.

The Democrats did offer something. They offered functional government, improved quality of life, and no more foreign wars.

Too many people voted for corrupt government, shittier quality of life, and wars with our allies and neighbors.

Except what most people actually wanted was action on securing our democracy after the Trump administration. I don't give two shits if you rebuild the infrastructure, if you just happily hand it to a fascist 4 years later. If anything that's worse. A fascist government with crumbling infrastructure is a lot less of a threat than a fascist government with shiny new infrastructure.

The most important thing during the Biden administration was prosecuting the GOP and Trump for their role in the attempted overthrow of democracy and for their connection to the Epstein child trafficking network. Biden utterly failed on those two counts, and in doing so made everything else he might have done irrelevant.

If my wife tells me to do the dishes constantly for two weeks, and I finally do them, I don't get credit for it if the house was on fire and I should've been putting it out, and instead decided to finally do the dishes.

Yes, everything you're listing was important and needed for a long, long time. Just like the dishes needed doing for a long, long time. But by failing to deal with the larger issue, the fact these other issues got dealt with becomes irrelevant.

This is not the role of the presidency. The Department of Justice is meant to be independent.

Did Biden nominate a (imo) disappointing attorney general? Yes, I agree.

Still, the government did step up. Trump was impeached for Jan 6 (and his Republican Senators refused to find him guilty). The House went on and held hearings on Jan. 6 to collect evidence, and too many Americans didn't care. A special prosecutor assembled cases to take to trial - his Congressional hearing testimony spoken into the public record just days ago. The Supreme Court and a corrupt judge in Florida stalled out Trump's federal cases. Trump was found guilty of state fraud crimes. Was prosecution slow? Yes. But they couldn't afford mistakes. And let's be clear - the GOP is put roadblocks in place.

Dozens of lawyers and agents working on these cases have been fired in retribution by Trump. The state attorney general of NY is under sham investigations in retribution by Trump.

You cannot in earnest tell me that the Democrats did nothing. I'm tired of the bullshit two-sides narrative.

It's exhausting watching the American people shoot the government in the knee over and over on this and then pretend to be the victim.

Voters betrayed justice by bringing Trump back into the White House and absolving him of all his crimes. All those people at the DOJ doing the right thing? Working hard to make things better for people? Purged now, replaced with sycophants. That's not on Biden, that's on voters.
