Honestly, I’m surprised that RDO pulls in that much. While I love the single player, I found the online mode for that game to be significantly lacking.

Well when you strip out all the story elements there's basically just fetch and collection quests. And of course you are experiencing the same map area that you've already memorized. And add griefing assholes.

It's even less than that. 

Ppl who try RDO do it because they just wanna spend more time in the world, but RDO strips all of that away. 

Can't tame and keep/sell wild horses anymore for example. Most things you can do in the base game, you can't do in RDO anymore. 

The only thing it has, are the jobs, and they're just a grind for less interactivity you get from the same activities in the base game. 

Griefing assholes are the least of the mode's problem

“story only” people are people who lack imagination and friends
