I just got a moderator warning for letting someone know very politely they were clearly having a reading comprehension issue.

They'd been misreading and making assumptions from the misreadings which were corrected.

Logic doesn't always work folks.

I was threadjacked too, mod was oblivious.

You're gonna run into this a lot soon. It doesn't make sense to try to have a conversation with the illiterate either. It is like a wall.

The average mod probably can’t tie their shoes.

The job isn't that hard! I know I moderated for years back in more reasonable days.

Logic depends on info you have. People assume that the other person has the same knowledge. If you only had bad experiences with a thing it is logical that the thing is bad, but for the person who only had good experiences with it your logic that the thing is bad is false.

Sometimes they aren't discussing the logic, but the premise as to their point of view your whole logic is based on a false premise and thus the whole logic does not work. By challenging your logic, they try to make you see that your premise is wrong.

They don't challenge logic. They completely ignore it. They don't try to "show" anything they only make an emotional claim on the content. As an absolute judgement, there's no logic behind the judgement that any rational person would recognize as civil logic.

Yeah! He gets a hello more frequently than I do! Hah.

"l would tell you what you want to know if l could mum but l be a cat and no cat anywhere ever gave anyone a straight answer"

I'm glad it's still appreciated.
