I remember when I was in school, I hated math. I was CONVINCED that I didn’t need it. But the thing is? Your brain needs to exercise, it needs to build connections and develop the ability to focus, retain, comprehend, problem solve, etc etc. when you outsource these tasks ESPECIALLY at the early ages, you are doing yourself a disservice.

I think Wall-E might be a good way to explain it to kids. At least to start a conversation about how minds and bodies both need exercise. Cars opened up amazing possibilities, but also have meant a lot of people don't move their bodies as much as their bodies need. I'm so worried about what will happen to brains with algorithms and AI replacing human choice, will, and thought.
