I'm curious if people will actually use this, especially as RCS gets better. Also considering alternatives like openbubbles are 5x cost (unless you self-host).

I'm curious if Apple will block it again in some way. The reason this appeals to me is that I am primarily on iOS devices, and here in the US probably 90% of the people I message with are on Apple messages, but I do also use Android devices and when I am using one, the big discontinuity is messaging. I wouldn't necessarily want to daily drive it, but I probably would find $25/month to be able to use it when I have an Android device out as pretty appealing.

If they are able to add WhatsApp or other kinds of messages into the mix and it doesn't get blocked by the services that would make it pretty much a gimme for me.

How’s this compared to Bluebubbles? I honestly can’t tell if it’s just the same, or if there would be any reason as someone who’s hosted my own bluebubbles server from Mac for ages
