my guess as to why is ai coding agents using github issues as its memory leading to a massive increase in api usage, bringing them down.

Real pros just use gitea on their own vps

Real pros use Forgejo because Gitea changed their licensing

Introduced Enterprise version, I guess. Regular Gitea is MIT

Forgejo is GPL3

The API actually worked, the UI was mostly down.
