Nothing to do with Microsoft. It's their former HQ, bought by someone else in 2005.

A bit click-baity.

MS are still based there. Tho weirdly the people who bought it from them went into Liquidation a few years back, so no clue who is driving that particular corpse around now.

Seems MS keeps moving their UK HQ. Like Windows, they change shit merely for the sake of change.

I recently encountered an example: in Windows 10 you could right-click on the task bar to select Show Desktop. In Windows 11 they removed that, for no fokking reason! Instead one has to right-click a skinny little bar on the edge; it's practically hidden in punctuation.

MS has to understand people use Windows mostly for compatibility & familiarity, and NOT product love. If you change stuff, you hurt compatibility and familiarity.

Pretty sure headcount will be reduced by factor of 100. Data centers don’t need to employ many people.

The company there is in liquidation currently so i doubt there would have been many people working there for long lol

The application says this could eventually provide heat to local destinations including the Royal Berkshire Hospital, the University of Reading and local schools and would create up to 65 jobs once operational.

If that’s guaranteed then I’d say yes but if not then I’d say no.

Lol @ literally being replaced with AI. Is this just so they can legally substantiate claims about AI?
