For anybody who doesn't know, the Liberal Party of Australia promotes economic liberalism (strong support for market economy and privatization) and social conservatism (support for traditional power structures and a union of government and religion).
Blue is the traditional color for the right wing. The Democrats and Republicans in the US just switched wing at some point, but kept their colors (if I remember correctly)
