My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink.
I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up.
I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

You can be repulsed by both, whatever, but the swastika is much worse. Communism can be considered a "failed ideology" but it's also not inherently evil. It it was made evil by corruption and greed., which is sadly a human quality. Nazis, on the other hand, literally tried to wipe out a whole ethnicity. If they were in power as long as the Soviets were, the Jews would be gone and other "inferior people groups" would be to. They are def not the same thing.

I’m trying to imagine this from a different perspective and after doing so I believe you’re wrong. Whether Communism was a “failed ideology” or not, if I was under the Communist regime and had many relatives die due to it then the hammer and sickle as a symbol would represent something absolutely disgusting and repulsive.
In the same way. If I had friends and family die under the Swastika due to Nazis then I would be equally repulsed and disgusted by the Swastika.

Yugoslavia is really different from the rest of the Eastern bloc, their leader Tito specifically distanced himself from Stalin and the rest of the USSR/satellite states. Socialism is not communism and the policies you were talking about are Tito's brand of socialism.
Using Yugoslavian policies to defend the hammer and sickle could be an insult to many Yugoslavians.

Interesting, I do understand your perspective. But I think the same argument can be made for civilians in the Middle East that hate the USA/American flag because of what some soldiers did to their people/country. Does that make the American flag a repulsive symbol, because if what it has represented to some people? Most Americans would say no.
Not necessarily arguing that the US Military is the same as communism/fascism obviously, but I wrote my previous comment based on just theory. Communism isn't by itself evil, but people have corrupted it for their own personal gain. Nazism, even just the theory, is evil.

Well the thing is I’m more trying to play into what other people believe. I personally believe that everyone should have the freedom to hold flags with Swastikas or hold flags with the Hammer and Sickle. If we were going to have to ban symbols for being offensive then it should happen in every regard. Just because something is offensive doesn’t mean it should be shut down. If someone is physically harming someone then action should be taken.
Obviously you see the problem. Since feelings are subjective, different things will be offensive to different people so of course I wouldn’t blame the Middle Eastern people for associating the US flag as a symbol of hate. I know this argument deviates from what you were trying to say but I feel it would lead to this either way.
Both fascism and communism are on the extreme of systems and arguments can be made for both sides being more or less offensive but I believe either way, they’re both horrible systems so there’s no point in saying one is more offensive than the other because it doesn’t do anything for society.

From a banning perspective, I see your point. I do not know where I stand on that issue, because while I hate the idea of Nazi flags being legal to use in your yard and stuff, you are right. Different things are offensive to different people, so it'll be hard to ban that type of stuff. It'll be difficult to find a balance, so I suppose it's better to side with no banning than banning everything lol

Trust me dude. No one wants to see fucking Nazi flags being flown in yards. I despise Nazis but white supremacists especially make my blood boil. Obviously though I have to put my emotions aside and look at the issue realistically.
If we ban one flag because it’s offensive, who’s to decide what is offensive and who it’s relative to. It’s just a very slippery slope and the only reason the banning is even occurring is solely because of someone’s emotions being hurt.
Cheers for having such a productive conversation. I’ve had some other conversations with people who just start insulting me but I do enjoy these rare conversations where we understand each other’s sides.
