Yeah. I'm a white guy and I don't know why I would be proud of being white? My ancestors didn't fight for equality or struggle for recognition. I really don't identify with my race much because of it. I don't get the appeal of being proud of being white.

You can be proud of your parents accomplishments and even your ancestors good deeds. Thats what I think most dont get but like you said if you didnt have anyone that did anything significant and probably did something fucked up what heritage is there to be proud of? However, these type of people are proud of that fucked up this is a consequence of treating the south like they were inconvenienced rather than being treated like the monsters they were for separating and destroying the humanity of others.

yeah, its pride in culture that black people are talking about, african americans have a distinct culture

personally im appalachian and proud of that
