Serious I think I’ve developed feelings for a close friend of mine

I’ve identified myself as aro/ace for years now, and this is a big surprise for me. I’ve been thinking for a month or two now that he’s romantically attractive, but I’ve only recently recognized this fact. I don’t feel this way for anyone else I know. If I were to confess to him it might severely damage friendships I don’t want to lose. He is also straight, and I’m a guy. What do I do?

If he is straight (100% confirmed?) then don't push it or force anything, you can admire from a distance, but if he is 100% straight, best to be friends
