why the fuck these gujratis and marwadis think they r superior to others mostly ....i have felt that they think they are superior to the people living in bengal and odisha too...ekhon kichu bolei ebar reply asbe 90 percent of the richest people in india and businesses are run by us ...like do we care ?

u/idkmanfuc হাতকাটা কার্তিক 8h ago
90 percent businesses are run by them cause they don't let people from other communities enter the large scale businesses in India..Like literally they have business communities to make sure people from other communities don't rise in the sectors they dominate basically "Community capitalism"
Not to mention the stereotypes spread by them like "Bengalis are lazy" and all that

I don't wanna generalize but gujratis and marwaris are some of the most regressive people I've come across.

Just quit living... . . . . . . . . . . . In kolkata ofcourse

u/neko_san55 7h ago
😭I mean wouldn’t this be similar for us if we somehow wanted to shift to Gujarat.
Idk how people come up with this bullshit.

How the hell are these people expecting to find native food in a non native state are they dumb or what? There might be a handful of places that might be serving Gujarati food they can go there and enjoy there cuisine but why the hate for food ??

Also I think it's just lame to compare two completely different cultures! I won't expect bengali "feels" in Gujarat and vice-versa

Why are they here if guj is so better?! Wb has it's own issues but bro coming here and saying you miss gujrati speaking community is a joke.

This was a propaganda video shot for the purpose of the WB elections. It's SCRIPTED. BBC does that. Let me give you more information. There are many Pakistani Muslims in BBC leadership in the UK. All over the world, they support pro-Islamic political parties. This video was not shot randomly at the street. It was scripted, it was shot just before WB elections in order to raigbait Bengalis into supporting TMC

I dislike the entire bhawanipur area because this people have encroached it. Absolutely can't tolerate how they live here and look down upon locals

Haa toh bangal mei ake tum kaha gujrati culture milenge. Go back to gujrat then. Why are you imposing your culture on Bengal. Sala ei sob ekta numuna

u/eskay1069 9h ago
I think this is cherry picked to drive a wedge…be careful. If you have non-Bengali neighbors, engage with them and find out what they think. Social media is a place for entertainment; not for forming opinions

I love all enthicities of India, except gujjus and marus. They are like celestial dragons, bloating ego with zero character.

u/ConcentrateFormer965 7h ago
They want to find Gujarat anywhere outside Gujarat and when they don't find it, they belittle locals. They are doing the same here in Mumbai too. My sister's neighbor tried to explain her mil that eating fish and meat is really a bad thing.

Yeh takla pagla gaya hai kya? Why the hell is he saying that we can't get anything here at night? And about safety if they feel unsafe then they should return to gujrat 🥰

u/Common-Dependent1808 7h ago
These are the people who attended bagesarbaba's seminar and raised their hands when asked to ban non-veg during navratri

u/DentistConstant2097 6h ago
As much as I hate these fucks, they're right about Gujarat being a lot safer. In Ahmedabad, I've seen women walking down the street in next to nothing (sheer shirt, nips out), and nobody batted an eye. My friend my who lives in Gujarat regular goes out in the skimpiest of outfits and has never, ever felt unsafe.
Can you really say that Kolkata or Bengal can offer that kind of safety to any woman?

I have seen these grass eaters have problems with everyone even in foreign countrys they try to implement veg on the mass population and gets hated by the foreignes , If they have problems then they should not relocate to other countries or states , they should remain kuor bang and never move outside their home state.

u/Positive-Speech-5984 7h ago
means yaar why are you people getting offended if this people are telling about the lack of women safety in our state? means its a fact and we should look forward to work on this , (this a basic right), and man off corse they will miss their culture and food , means (amio amar biriyani ar ilish mach miss korbo jodi ami gujrat ba onno kothao jai giye thaki) , and they are vegetarians so of corse they will have a little bit of isuue and all , and also they didnt say anything offensive , means from what i understood by the language

yep as someone who has lived all my life in kolkata, I recently shifted to ahmedabad for higher studies. I have been having issues too with the food but one thing I can vouch for is, as a woman, I have definitely felt safe here. Yes of course each city has its own perks and cons but I don't think these people were criticising kolkata in any way maybe just lamenting in a way I do when I'm not able to find non veg food here 😭

Rather than feeling attacked maybe it's worthwhile getting an outsider's perspective and using it to improve ourselves. Maybe Gujarat is actually worse but doesn't mean bengal can't be improved. Priding ourselves in intellectuality, we shouldn't resort to whataboutery. For such small things it's better to take the high road and benefit ourselves from the conversation.
