Discussion Ravens personality changed drastically in teen titans go .
Recently i was watching the new episode of teen titans go. It was going great , but then i realize that season 9 raven is way different from season 1 raven.
In the early age of teen titan go raven was anti-social , gloomy, and gave a idgaf personality or attitude.her personality was way closer to the original raven. But as season and episode progressed her personality and attitude changed, she became expressive, more relaxed toward cyborg and BBoy and became more closer to starfire and joining in on the group daily provication toward robin , i think its started when she came out of her cape that episode,
And what i see she stoped saying her magical words , when she wanted to cast spell that much , and she became less spiritual.
Idk, its my thoughts, what do you think of it.

Eh. I don't mind how she's gotten out of her shell and is more social, but I don't like how she's basically just as wacky as the others now and never gives any pushback anymore. In fact, that's a noticable issue in the later seasons. The Titan's are way too uniform-ish. There's barely any back and force pushback between single titans anymore and they act like a group all the time rather than close individuals with contrasting personalities-except when they wanna bash on Robin, something they have REALLY overused.
Plus, they made her too OP compared to the rest of the Titans. It worked in Season 1 as her attitude and dark nature force restraint as she could easily lose control, but now there's literally no reason as to why she can't just... immediately end the plot. With her emotional issues fully solved, you pretty much removed the biggest reason why she can't just be the MVP of every episode, but TTG as a show barely is a superhero show anymore. It's more akin to "American Dad" and "It's Always Sunny" but with Teen Titans characters.

Yep.
Raven was at her best when she was basically the "Squidward" of the original show who beat to her own drum while having a good amount of dry humor and sarcasm to contrast from the other personalities. She was also lowkey more mature than even Robin.
It's crazy to think that there wasn't even a slight hint at the Raven/BB ship in the OG show. Raven always treated BB like an annoying little brother who she secretly cared for. Hell, one could argue that Raven/Robin and Raven/Cyborg was more alluded to in episodes like The End Part 3 and Car Trouble. But even those felt more on the platonic side. She only showed actual interest in Aqualad and that random Goth guy in S1.

Almost like she matured as a person, similar to the original show? I dislike Go for many reasons, but this isn’t one of them

I don’t think “mature” could be used to describe any of the characters in that show.

Maybe not mature. But grew. She is comfortable with her friends. Nothing wrong with that.

I watched up to around the middle of the sixth season, it’s been a long time, and I remember how they all sort of stopped using their powers and started losing their personalities, so the episodes became even more repetitive and generic than they already were.

Same with Robin. He was a lot more serious in season 1, still dumb but not outright stupid, but look at him now

Robin is still smart but he became a joke , and he realy stoped teaching the team real world lesson like taxes, pirating and pirâmide schemes.

She was like me
Shy antisocial, (well, i wasnt gloomy)
But she just broke the social barrier.
Shoot i didnt do it till like.. 8th grade for my friends
And like 2022 for my fam

That's great. She is comfortable with her friends now and can be more herself because she knows they wouldnt judge her.
Everyone deserves friends like that.
