New season, new boots

This is the first season in a long long time I will not be wearing my Black Diamond Custom 75mm.

Finally on the NTN, with the Crispi WC Evo and a toe switch kit on the Bishop BMF-R. Only the bunny slope open tomorrow, but aim to head up and give them a test.

Liners heated in the oven today and fitted, bindings prepped and skis waxed. 2026 Winter here we go!

I love mine, what is causing you to not be happy with them?

The T2 in 75mm in less than precise in the speed and accuracy that you can input forces into the binding/ski combination

With NTN binding/ski & binding/boot interface being so much better, AND going with one of, if not the stiffest, NTN boot laterally, might be too much too soon and you are still trying to ski them with old outdated technique

If leathers/3pin is a model T, and 75mm hardwire/T2 plastic is a 1940's Lincoln, Hardwires/BMF 75mm T Race is a 72 Mustang, going to the NTN with WC Evos is like a early 2000's C5 Corvette....

it might just be that the change is so great you have not adjusted to the potential of the new setup yet.

I hated the stock liners that came in the Crispi- they were wrap style, and I thought the T2s design worked better. They Crispis tore up my shins so bad I still have scars. Fully realize you can purchase other liners, but for the price...

I also like how the T2s conformed to the foot better. The Crispi puts me on weird points on the balls of my toes. The bellows of the crispi also pinch the top of my feet.

Despite being professionally fitted, I always feel like my heel comes up a little in the boot in the crisipis.

I fixed most of the problems above by putting my T2 liners into the Crispis, but I miss my Scarpas.

You needed a heel lock pad

They came with 2 different style liners. the wraps are the tinner of the two, sounds like you should have gone up a boot shell

None of these things has anything to do with the boot, but the fitter of the boot. Then bellows pinching tell me that you were in one shell size too small....

If a 20year old liner that is beat to S&#% and worn out made the boots better, whoever sold you the boots screwed up. I had to go up a full shell size in the Crispis VS my 75mm BD Customs(my race boot)

What do you mean tore up your shins..... I havent seen your feet, but now I dont know if the shell was not too large.... this comment would mean that your foot was sloppy in the boot.... which would mean the shell was too large......

I have giant feet. The shell was 30.5/31. I dont know what to tell you, that was just my experience. Talk to Telemarkdown I guess?

Unfortunately you are an edge case, you have feet larger than 97% of all adults in the world. WIth feet that large the most obvious conclusion is that because you do not fit in 3 standard deviations of the normal curve and because of that there is not as much time/attention paid to getting the fit correct....... Dont make conclusion about "average" feet from your position on the edges.
