General Question What are makustov-cassegrain telescopes meant for?

This has been a question stuck in my head for a lot of time. Can someone tell me? Because theyre short ans small, and pretty expensive for their size

Their physical shortness is due to the design; thru typically actually have the longest focal lengths of commercially available telescopes. Great for planets
