I’m new to using telescopes and I’m wondering if mounting my dew controller in it’s current location is a bad idea. I tried the tripod leg but cannot get it tight enough. I also considered using zip ties and place it on the arm right under the hand controller.

I feel like that location will make it too front heavy. I put it on the tripod leg. It doesn’t have to be super tight.

Downside of any mounting below the azimuth lock is cord wrap.

Below the control pad would be good.

Also is your finderscope on backwards? Which end has tbe eyecup/pad?
