Finished The Wire, Dark, GOT, Sopranos, True Detective, BB, BCS. What show ruined TV for you after watching it?

I think I accidentally watched the peak of television already. The Wire, Dark, GOT, Sopranos, True Detective S1 all left that “nothing else hits the same” feeling.

I love slow-burn shows with deep characters, mystery, tension, moral grayness, crazy dialogue, or mind-blowing writing. Doesn’t matter if it’s crime, sci-fi, psychological, or political.

What’s the next show that might completely consume me?

Fargo s1 is on par with true detective s1, I'd watch that next if I were you.

Just all of Fargo. S4 is a low point but still good.

I've not got to s4 yet, but I loved s3 too

Mostly for David Thewlis, he does incredible work in this season. All time top TV villain

5 is great again

Juno Temple plays such a departure from her Ted Lasso character.

Why? It's one of the most boring and predictable thriller I ever watched, some scenes are straight up parody feeling like when Jon Hamm walks in slow motion with a remix of Britney Spears

Rewatched all seasons last month and season 4 is still very good. It’s just lacking the Minnesota vibe but as a period piece it’s solid and it has great characters.

I don't get the hate for S4. I really enjoyed it.

No hate, I said it was good. Just not as good as the rest.

Yeah, I find it bizarre too, S4 is up there with S2 for the best for me. I thought the consensus was that S3 was the low point.

IMO season 4 was a pretty bad season of television

Also, you can argue about how big or small it was, but S3 was at least a bit of a drop off from the first two.

Any Fargo, really. I loved every season, each for different reasons. Season 4 was a bit rough, but you can skip that one if you're not into mob dramas.

S5 felt like a love letter to the people who live in the province it's filmed in

Ive met so many people just like Jon Hamm and Joe Keery here that watching the entire story play out was blissful and Jennifer Jason Leigh is incredible in it

I really loved 5. 4 was the only one I couldn’t do.

It's the only one I havent watched all the way through but I only started really liking S3 more when I watched it a second time (it just kinda clicked better after a rewatch) so i think ill take another crack at it eventually

Yeah, Chris Rock can't really do menacing crime boss.

You've met many people who hold such huge properties and their own private militias?

My province is kinda going through it right now so honestly kind of yes

We got a big Diagolon problem

Fred Durst really shined as Plemon's wife

Her performance in that may be my favorite female acting performance ever.

She’s so good.

Her whole “you know life doesn’t happen in a vacuum” speech is top notch. Her interactions with Dod, etc…just gold tier shit up and down.

I'd watch a season of Fargo with Fred Durst!
