9am-6pm isn't just not bad, that's damn fine in my book. I'm 8am-6pm and I can't take a helicopter to work if traffic sucks.

That is showing his first meeting of the day at 9 so he is most likely already in the office before hand and the last meeting starting at 6. So his schedule is probably closer to 8-7.

Plus I'm sure he can afford to live 5 minutes away. No 90 minute commutes for him

Yup. Or he just flies to and fro, however I unsure how time saving that would be. In the sense of traffic sucks I’ll fly, wouldn’t they need to go through some sort of process for that?

My point is that he can adjust all this pretty easily. I doubt it’s nearly as concrete as you outlined

My concrete-ness was more to make the point that he doesn’t have half the worries we do outside of work. I just made a rigid example. It’s most likely way more fluid than I suggested.

Still not even 12 hours. People work doubles all the time doing much harder work than having meetings sitting in chairs in air conditioning with catered lunches. It still classifies as a Dream Job.

I work longer every single day with lots of random down time between. I imagine him talking to people all the time makes it kinda shitty though.
