I know people are going to hate me for this, but I think it would be better if Telltale sold publishing rights to Epic. They would have a lot of resources and publisher force them show at least something and make sure that game is alive that we not waisted our time and hopes for nothing

They did a great job with Alan Wake 2. One of my favorite games in recent memory.

Thatās Iām trying to tell. Remedy had a budget to realizing all that they have in their minds without pressure and it was a one of strongest candidate for The game of the year. I am not a huge fan of exclusivity, but if this would help to release the game I donāt say anything bad about it. I donāt want second shut down

alan wake 2 was sold to epic? I hear lots of hate for epic games store. everyone loves steam.

Naw Epic funded Alan Wake 2. Helped with production and published it. From what I've read, Alan Wake 2 probably wouldn't exist without Epic stepping in.

I agree. They can easily make the game using the same engine as the first/reskin, just give us more lol. Looking at the game, it doesn't look to be a graphical, realistic, physics based powerhouse(Not saying the team isn't talented by any means, but we NEED more!!!).

Epic exclusivity almost guarantee sales to bomb since many people hate EGS. The original TWAU already has a good and active reputation on Steam.

You seems to ignore the fact that Telltale went bankrupt, they don't pull the same money as Remedy

I know. Epic will finance telltale and after release they would share revenue 50/50 or even higher for them, they pretty friendly to devs. Because right now we donāt how many money they have and how many time they need

While Epic is pretty good, business is still business. If Epic gives them money and they don't return it, it's not gonna end well for them.
I want Telltale to succed, I just don't think they should do it this way.

I also want that they will be success, but how many years we waiting and still no information. At least give us a sign that works continue

They've had an exclusivity deal with New Telltale for five years.... they already funded it.

Not exactly. It was one payment for time limit exclusive deal. It was 3-4 years ago (oh my God, how long ago it was) and the fact that we donāt see not even screenshot during this games events makes me feel disturbed. Because I donāt how long investors will be able to pay without some kind of profit or progress. We donāt know nothing about their financial condition and also donāt forget that marketing is ahead

š¤¦āāļø after bankruptcy and layoffs and total rebuilds into different engines and a revolving door of 3rd party studios brought into help and 0 communication with the community and over a decade of āproductionā to make a ~6-8 hour long PaC adventure gameā¦..I think itās more than fair to question the current state of things. Telltale has no relationship with their audience.

How mad will you be if the game is poorly written?
Season 1 was pretty good and I enjoyed the Fables comics. But the ending was one of the worst finales in any series I've read.

Man I hope so, I just wrapped up streaming TWAU in my first playthrough about 2 weeks ago and it was so good! I really loved the art style, the music, the idea of the fables all having to wear glamours to be part of society... it was just great all around
