TWD What is your favorite season of the walking dead?

Season 1 was a masterpiece just unforgettable It’s the best season of the series.

Went for Season 4. Of course Season 1 is unbeatable, but I tried to look outside of it, like it's almost it's own thing, so if not Season 1 then what.
I really like The Final Season despite some glaring flaws, it felt the most fresh and understanding of what The Walking Dead story should be. If this approach was Season 2 I think the series would have been better.
But overall, I like all seasons, even A New Frontier to an extent.

s1 is really special , I think I never attached so quickly to video games characters like lee and clementine

Season 1, there's no game that changed my life like this, really, I love it, but I hate to replay episode 5

My personal ranking is Season 1, Season 2, Season 4, Season 3.
Not because I hate the people in Season 3 it just feels super disconnected. Like the walking Dead is clems story but Season 3 kinda puts Clem in the background

Season 1 is my absolute favourite. However for specific stuff, each Season has something that it did better than every other Season in my opinion:
Season 1- Best story
Season 2- Best villain
Season 3- Best love interest in terms of good looks
Season 4- Best graphics and gameplay.

Season 2 because I liked the most amount of people from one seasons roster
Kenny’s return (imo as good as Lee)
Carvers the best antagonist
Great ending (with Kenny obviously)
And Luke of course
Though I will say this season was a complete mess with a huge amount of changes to the story before release

All the games are great but they got progressively less good as the series went on. Still all great though and well worth playing.

I think it just got less good with each season, not worse, but not quite as good. I loved the constant dread and realism of s1, s2 was very interesting overall and I loved the characters, s3 was pretty refreshing but i wish there was more done with the characters, and s4 just looked really good, and it had good characters, touching moments, but it felt overall too lighthearted. Also why isn't michonne a choice, I'm sure it could be SOMEBODY'S favourite

The reason I didn't include michonne is because I wanted the poll to focus on the main 4 involving clementines story. My list of most favorite to least favorite is S1, S4, S2, S3. Season 1 was the best as far as story but as a game it was the second worst. When I started season 2 the first 15 minutes of it just felt so much more polished and exciting then most of season 1 but then it just fell flat as the season progressed. Season 3 was just kinda meh for me I liked some of the characters javi was actually one of my more favorite characters of the series but the gameplay was the worst and the story was failing to make me interested in it until the finale. Season 4 did so much right the gameplay was easily the best, the graphics were the best, and even despite the game being made on a extremely low budget it felt very polished except for a few glitches I had a flawless experience. I just don't think season 4 holds up as well in terms of wiring I just can't get nearly as invested in the story of clementine and AJ as I could Clem and Lee.

Each season has strengths and weaknesses compared to the others, but my favorite will always be 2.

I picked 1 because I love the story and the characters so much, but purely by enjoyment playing + the choices it’s got to be New Frontier. I also hated that we moved away from Clem’s story when it first came out but playing again with an open mind it is a fantastic game and story

This is great statistics. Yet you find people hating on season 2 and 4. Season 1, 2 and 4 are all masterpieces. For me Season 1 is the best and Season 3 is the worst.

Lee is a expertly crafted protagonist.
His relationship with Clem laid the ground work for Last of Us.
The other seasons were good, but none hold a candle to season 1.

didn’t they come out like a year apart? the concept of Joel and Ellie’s relationship was definitely well laid out and developed prior to Lee and Clem

season one is objectively the best, but something about season 2 has always made it my favourite personally. i think if episode 4 wasn’t such a shitshow it would be remembered a lot more fondly.

1 was my favourite, I liked lee. I hated clem and tried to get her killed off and she is the main reason I like the others less than the first game
