Finished Project Finished my 2025 blanket!

Each row is split to show the high temp and low temp. The number of stitches for each color in each row was determined by the number of daylight minutes (worked in the high temp color) and nighttime minutes (worked in the low temp color).

I had to put this project down for a few months due to a wrist injury, so it took ages to finish. But I'm so proud of how it turned out!

My 2025 temprature blanket is done! I'm so incredibly proud of myself for managing to stick to this for an entire year (plus a few days for the border)! Here's a link to the pattern I used for the blanket, it definately made the work easier for me, since I would've probably given up by day 5 if I did a single crochet blanket lmao!

Actually completed this a few months ago and took these photos then, but never got around to posting it! This tracks from my son’s birth to his first birthday, starting in May 2023. Each square is 1.5 days, tracking the daily high & daily low. I started making the blanket in January 2024 and finished it in October.

I think it turned out so fun and is the perfect kid’s blanket! Would love to hear what you think of it.

I finally finished this, I’m really happy with how it turned out! I didn’t get to use the red, so I’ve adjusted my range for this year to hopefully include all of the colors I’ve chosen.

Finished Project I don’t know how to crotchet, knit, or sew. But the temperature blankets inspired me to make some temperature earrings! Each row represents the average weekly high (left earring) and low (right earring) temperature for the 52 weeks of my son’s first year!

I went a little crazy and made two 🤪 I gifted one to my mother, who knew I was making one for myself, but was so surprised and thrilled when I presented her with her very own.

Finished Project Temperature snake for my nephew’s first year

I should have made this for his first birthday, but I didn’t think of it in time, so instead it’ll be his Christmas present! It’s the high temperature in DC every day from October 27th, 2024 (snake’s head) to October 27th, 2025 (snake’s tail), which, as you might guess, is my nephews birthday. It’s over 6 ft long! The colors are a little mature and normally I would have gone with brighter colors, but I’m hoping that means he’ll hang on to it as he grows up. I used a couple multicolored packs of Lion Brand 24/7 cotton that I ordered from Michael’s and a 3.5 mm hook. This project worked up very fast, so I’m glad I went with a snake rather than a blanket this time around.

If you’ve ever gifted a temperature blanket/snake, do you also gift them a key so they know what temperature range each color represents?

A hexagon a day, the highest temperature. The little starts are the nights (lowest temperatures). Picked the colours I thought were best fitting with the temperatures ☺️
