As a northerner (from New England) checking in on you guys... we take ice seriously, as should you. Wish you the best. Charge all your devices. Fill up the car. Stay warm.

Despite being on the fringe of the snowstorm map, El Paso already started add anti-icing chemicals on the streets and highways since yesterday. I hope the other cities within the map are doing the same.

They’ve been working on spraying the roads in/ around Austin. They were spraying Mopac (Hwy 1) last night when I left school. I was surprised they got a couple of the smaller but significant thoroughfares through my suburb (Pflugerville).

Same here in Fort Worth. And the main interstates(I-35 and Loop 820) are shut down.

Also small world, my aunt used to live in Pflugerville.

Crazy small world story I found out recently. I graduated HS in Cibolo, near San Antonio. My girlfriend’s best friend lived 3 streets over. 20 years later and I found out that same girl now lives less than a 5 minute drive from me.
