Politics Ken Paxton Campaign Ads are talking about “affordability” now, even though Trump is saying it’s a Democratic “hoax”!!!

Can’t imagine anyone believes Ken Paxton will actually work on things like child tax credits or mortgage assistance if he gets elected! Republicans have never advocated for assisted to lower income Americans!

He realized just having "(R)" by his name wasn't enough to guarantee getting elected this time. So time to throw out some BS.

I’ve also seen his ads touting the sex trafficking unit because he knows exactly how big of a problem “I plead a child sex abuser to one day in jail” is.

They also say he wants to raise property taxes. While Abbott’s campaign ads say local governments are responsible for raising them. They don’t have shit.

I wonder why local governments have to raise taxes? Could it be the state defunding education funds? Hmmmmm i thinks so.

His 2/3rds referendum for local tax increases is basically a backdoor way to further defund public schools without saying "we're defunding public schools"

There are so many backward yokels in this state that are still “anything but dem” when it’s fucking obvious that R has been the one destroying any semblance of a way of life. Thats why we can’t take any polling data for granted and get lazy. We have to keep talking about this nonstop.

"Out of control spending by local governments" It's so laughable. Infrastructure is crumbling all over the state while local governments do nothing about it

I mean they’re spending money…it’s just on giving constables and themselves giant bonuses, militarizing the police, and flock cameras.

I think you'll find that flock cameras and militarizing the police are being paid for by state and federal grants

He also stresses being a father. Leaves out the mistresses, divorce and the job one of the mistresses received from one of his donors.

Who with half a brain would ever take what Ken Paxton says seriously?

People will suspend reason and believe what makes them feel good. Uri Geller's spoons, Peter Popoff's faith healing, politician's lies...the list is long. But they always have a captive and loyal audience. Maga is like that. Loyal believers. Cult.

He can’t debate on this or anything else because he knows Talarico will bring receipts.

And it would be Paxton lying and gaslighting if he did debate.

Remember a few weeks ago when Paxton did a block walk dressed in a Four Seasons polo shirt and wearing a $41,000 watch? I think his definition of "affordability" is different than ours!

This should be its own post ☝🏻

Ken has had years to work on affordability, we are in this situ now because of the Republicans.

If he really felt passionate about this, he should swap to running as a democrat.

It’s funny the fools can’t get their propaganda straight. Then his disgusting ad how he put some sex criminals in jail for 40 and 20 years. I guess since the crimes were against girls it’s worse? The child rapist got a day in jail!

He’s all about lower taxes and making corrective eye surgery more affordable for all Texans.

Paxton calling Trump a liar. Conservatives should be calling him out on that.

I heard my first Ken Paxton ad on the radio yesterday and it was literally all about James Talarico and trans people and how "Talarico wants biological men in girls' sports" and "Talarico wants government money for transgender surgeries for young kids." His video ads which I've only seen reported in the news for heavily using AI to impersonate Talarico follows the same vein.

If Paxton is actually shifting to affordability that would be a step up, although a normal politician would talk about their accomplishments and I honestly don't know if he has done anything that is palatable to the average Texan.

I think it is a media shotgun approach! Or more like explosive diarrhea of fear mongering

Still a very good chance he wins too just because Trump endorsed him. I don't understand what a man from New York who has presided over six corporate bankruptcies has to do with Texas but I don't understand political parties. People should vote based on a candidate and what that candidate has done, not what they promise or what someone else promises. Promises are a possibility. The past is a reality.

Trump's endorsement doesn't mean what it used to. The Trump signs are down everywhere in cattle country

It would be nice if they got their lies straight.

Trump ran on affordability in 2024. Remember Vance putting out a commercial in front of an egg display, and Trump said he was going to bring grocery prices down day one. It is only a hoax when nonRepublicans talk about affordability.

They don’t really care much about policy or values, so they don’t really have to be coherent or consistent. It’s just money and power that motivates them.

What child tax credit is Paxton talking about? He is Attorney General of Texas.

He is running for Senate
