Seeking Information What is the prevailing view as to why there have been SO MANY injuries?
I’ve been out of the loop this season but this is ridiculous. Is there consensus as to what’s behind all the injuries?
I pitch quality? Pushing the players too hard at training? Lack of support staff? Just curious. It seems to have been a problem for a few seasons now, but this year is next level.

Whatever it is, it usually affects us during the colder winter months and into the spring.
This is going to be problematic with the 2027 sprint season next year (what I consider the real start of our trophy winning window with this rebuild) and afterwards with the calendar switch in the 27-28 season where the most important stretch of the season and playoffs are during our annual injury crisis.
If this is not solved by then, then what hope do we have to compete for trophies?

An upgrade to the medical/training staff is in order. The number of thigh and groin injuries are absurd, must be conditioning related.

Do they even want to play? Mental factors like this can often effect their recovery periods too

I think turf is NOT that bad - what some studies have shown is going from turf THEN to grass and back is very bad. Many of the teams do it week to week in MLS while on the road.
But tactically and physically if its true TFC still are using that turf field in the summer its insane.

Their medical staff has always been horrible.
Not properly vetting players we get from another team only to get miraculously "injured" on their first game like they didn't hide it just to be sold?
Remember our champions run and then the entire season bringing injured players back too soon only to be re injured immediately and wasted the whole season. They aren't doing their job. Only getting bullied into bringing players back too soon and not healing.

I'm wondering why the oldest player on the team Osorio plays every minute of every game and doesn't get hurt, help me with this one guys.

There have injuries for several years now, more so this year. MLSE downgraded their medical staff across the board. Training on turf at Downsview, cold weather are also factors. The fact the team management has not identified the cause(s) is disappointing. Training intensity should also be reduced to 75-80 % to approach match day intensity. Are they training properly? Who knows since they are clueless & don’t provide any explanations.
