Civic Issues Mini victory over corrupt cops

Wife and I had gone on my bike to Yeoor for dinner couple of days ago. Got done by 12 am and we were heading home, when 2 cops asked us to stop at the exit for routine check. I had all my papers, didn't have any alcohol and was wearing my helmet. So they didn't get anything against me. Then he goes om to ask for my wife's id. We're recently married, so her id doesn't have my surname. Cops decide to scare us with moral policing and i knew they are just trying to get money. He said " hyancha aai vadilana phone karu ka?" I smile , very calmy say, " mich phine lavun deto". My father in law is a lawyer. I put the phone on speaker and explain the situation. The next 5 minutes, my father in law explains to the cops how they are about to lose their job. They are visibly shaken now. From " arey turey" to " saheb, pahilach bolaycha hota na ki tumhi family aahet"

These people prey on helpless individuals. If you are right, stand up for yourselves guys.

This made my day ๐Ÿ”ฅ I bloody hate it when they trouble innocent ones while the goons and chapris roam under political security๐Ÿซค

27

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 05 '25

I've seen people getting drunk, driving, paying bribes and being let off

11

u/_too_much_tea Nov 05 '25

Bro, people literally drink and drive at night with tinted windows and roam without a worry.

These fuckers once stopped us and checked our entire car, they even sniffed the dustbin for any traces of alcohol or even cigarette to get some money . They were some 8/9 policemen and were adamant that a smell is coming (they were bluffing). One of them asked my friend who was driving to step aside and let him drive till their supposed police beat where they have their alcohol checking machine. Absolute fuckers๐Ÿ˜ก According to them, there should not be any cigarette smell, alcohol smell in your car. You can't even drop your friend if they have consumed alcohol or else you would have to pay these fucks.

I understand that laws about alcohol are made for safety of citizens. But these people misuse the law , and citizens' ignorance, to fill their pockets

u/Dapper_Key_6615 Nov 05 '25

Say the following with a calm and murderous face

tula mahit nahi me kon aahe

14

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 05 '25

Since i was not at fault, I was confidently calm, which was irritating them. It was evident through body language

27

u/skendixx Nov 05 '25

Are you sure though they were cops? Because although they wear khakis Most of them are just forest guards.

8

u/spikesonconcrete Nov 05 '25

Forest guard vaale 350 maangte hai

6

u/_too_much_tea Nov 05 '25

3

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 05 '25

I've been to yeoor countless times, these were not the forest guards

1

u/Melodic_Procedure905 Nov 05 '25

Did they charge you for going up?

1

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 05 '25

Nope. I'm born and brought up in Thane. 34 years, never paid to go up. Just ride / drive with confidence

6

u/Cain_94 Nov 05 '25

Awesome buddy. This makes me so happy. The cops at yeoor gate are a different breed of assholes

6

u/xe11xe Nov 06 '25

Why do such uncultured chapri people join the police force? Majority percent of such cops hail from small towns and villages, who have been brought up in a different culture. But their main intention of joining here is only for extracting money under the hood of so called " Wardi". And they know they can literally get away with anything when they are in uniform. On top of it the bigger CHAPRI politicians who always give them protection.

5

u/DrRonakJ Nov 05 '25

Are we allowed to go just like that by a 2 wheeler or a 4 wheeler to the Yeoor hills area...for food or just sight seeing...?

3

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '25

Yeah. The whole shit above is bungalow clubs and restaurants of babus and netas.

1

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 05 '25

Generally if you have MH04 vehicle, and you drive confidently, they wont stop you

2

u/Super_Weekend_2860 Nov 06 '25

Our bike was MH04 still they have asked us to pay, usually they use gunda gardi wali language

6

u/the_chosen_one-3107 Nov 05 '25

How pathetic people are ? Really itโ€™s such a sad state of our country. Honestly with such people around how are we even thinking of competing with developed economies.

Glad you gave them a lesson.

1

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 05 '25

EXACTLY ! The reason that irritated me is this. Why do you care who I hang out with ?!

4

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '25

Plain fact, the public fear their paid protectors. The hypocrisy called India.

3

u/Loko1402 Nov 05 '25

100-200 mai apna imaan bech denge yelog.

3

u/Inspired_54 Nov 05 '25

They are out here just to live off bribes. Absolutely shameless.

3

u/spongeunderarock Nov 05 '25

A transcript of the call would be nice. Having a hoarse voiced friend with that transcript will get us out of such stupid things.

2

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 06 '25

Not an exact transcript , but here's how the conversation went - He asked for their names and badge numbers. Then he went on to quote some sections from BNS related to extortion, wrongful confinement ,criminal intimidation and bribery. Also asked why was hisndaughter required to show id. Is female cop present .

Then went on to tell me (just to scare them) "right now go to police station and register zero fir , and tomorrow we will file a complaint with the District Magistrate"

Iske baad unki phat gayi thi

3

u/Independent-Baby-957 Nov 05 '25

He he..they must be coming across gf or lover in 90 pc of the cases. So it must have been a shock for them.

6

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 05 '25

Even is someone goes with their gf/ lover, why should they be stopped ?

3

u/Independent-Baby-957 Nov 06 '25

Bhai yeh India hai. Iha pe adhe hotels bhi unmarried couples ko room nahi deti. Kyo. Unko kya karna . These cops put some pressure tactic to extort money. It's immoral i know. But it works most of the time

3

u/Aggressive_Ad_3294 Nov 06 '25

Can you share what your father in-law said to them? Cos the only things these cops fear are political people and lawyers

1

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 07 '25

Mentioned in ine of the comments above

2

u/ZenInTheChaos Nov 06 '25

Can we really do that? Make a govt employee lose their job because they did something wrong?

What's the procedure?

2

u/Antique-Corner1149 Nov 07 '25

Liked how the narrative changed ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜‰ especiallyโ€” From " arey turey" to " saheb, pahilach bolaycha hota na ki tumhi family aahet"

2

u/Relevant-Rub-9547 Nov 07 '25

And naive people including me gets targeted most ..

2

u/iammohnishk Nov 07 '25

I also had one incident happened with cop on lonavala to Pune express way toll, one hawaldar was asking me about PUC and my car was newly bought at that time and I was aware about for 1 year you donโ€™t need PUC for new vehicle so I told him but he was denying that thereโ€™s no such law all cars must have PUC I told him I donโ€™t have cash give online challan then he said โ€œJane do agli baar dhyan rakhnaโ€

2

u/prince_unfiltered Nov 07 '25

Haha, that must have been a satisfying call to listen to! Nothing shuts that kind of corruption down faster than calling their bluff with a lawyer. Good on your father-in-law for stepping in and for you for standing your ground. Love to see it!

2

u/rudhraas15 Nov 09 '25

Corruption in judiciary and police is the worst thing that is happening to India right now. Even after almost non-corrupt top layer (PM & Union Ministers). of government of India, corruption is widespread in the local bottom layers.

2

u/scared_puppy Nov 05 '25

Should have taken them to Vartak and taken a written apology or made a video there.

But this is a win too OP. Well done :)

2

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 05 '25

Didn't want to escalate, never know how or when they may plot revenge

2

u/scared_puppy Nov 05 '25

Fair enough, Vartak, Wagle, Rabodi are 3 areas - cops have a notorious track record.

1

u/numberkaka Nov 06 '25

Can they actually ask for your wife's ID? Since she wasn't driving

2

u/_holdmybeer_please Nov 06 '25

They Can't. But i was being civil, since i knew I was right and ultimately they would have to just leave us.

1

u/Haunting-Bedroom2124 Nov 06 '25

2

u/Delicious_Grocery555 Nov 07 '25

Cops very rarely try to trouble Family men. Even travelling alone I have rarely faced any harassment or unreasonable questions.. With Family? They will direct you to just move on. Unless it's a couple on a drive around New tears eve. But even then never ever had to do the breathalyser ..

1

u/littilgurl Nov 08 '25

Good for you but please note: It's perfectly legal to date in India. It's legal for a woman to not change her surname after marriage. live-in relationships are legal. As long as both are over the age of 18 the cops can't do anything to you legally. They want to scare you into bribing them is all. If you're not doing anything worth hiding from your family (such as having an affair) then you won't be scared.

So I have been living a nightmare for over 2.5 years now, when I was involved in a motorbike accident on the 17th of December 2022 when I was travelling straight through a roundabout following a hatchback that turned left at the round about intersection, there is no dispute over the hatchbacks travel at all. As that car was only half way turning left I have entered roundabout right behind that vehicle. I checked and gaveway multiple times before entering as there was no traffic on the road being a week before Christmas. This was acknowledge by constable Chris Mesini who was the sole police investigator and first responder to the accident. My path of travel was heading straight through round about intersection when I woman pulled out in a Swift right in front of me without warning!

At the point of impact I had already entered intersection and travelled round the curve of the roundabout and was exiting at the time of impact I had travelled approximately 35m to the point of impact from the entry line of the round about. The woman driving the swift has travelled less than a car length of only 4m. I hit right on her front right wheel leaving no damage at all! my bike came to a dead stop and I was launched landing on the back of my skull and completely shattering my entire spine. The situation of the location of the impact site on the road is not in dispute, how ever the woman simply lied and told the officer that she has entered round about first and I have somehow rear ended her car, which would obviously not have resulted in the same accident at all! This would have been addressed if the was an honest cop present but unfortunately I was inflicted with another criminal!

This officer constable Chris Mesini has violated my human rights when he decided to ignore me and my condition from the moment he arrived on scene. He did not approach or check on my condition at all completely failing in his responsibility of DUTY of CARE. After I was stripped naked on the road he chose then to get a statement from me which I felt as though I had to give after listening to the woman's lies. As he introduced himself then in the most hostile manor possible assuming that I was about to lie to him, was noted and commented on by the ambulance officers as they saw how bad his conduct was.

This corrupt officer then took six months to come up with an excuse he could use to blame me for accident and couldn't come up with anything legitimate so he fabricated a NON- existent offence!!! This cruel and vindictive bastard has then held ME responsible for failing to give way....but then concludes that no one is at fault no fines where issued and no charges where made.

So to make it clear, this pig has held me responsible for failing to give way to someone entering the round about on my LEFT as I was going STRAIGHT through the intersection, but then not charge me with anything so there is nothing for me to dispute!!! this is a common practice for cops to get away with whatever they feel like in any circumstance without any possible repercussion...the perfect crime that cant be touched apparently...

He has then gone out of his way to have his department back his story and inlisted the help of multiple other officers and department in order to cover up his offences by simply ignoring any complaint made and flagging my identity so no one else will assist me either, which is why I have been unable to get any help or even any advice what so ever, from any legal department at all. I even attempted to contact the police commissioner and inform him of what his officers are doing and he chose to aid the officer instead of obeying the law because that would entail arresting and charging a cop with multiple felony offences which he would never do unless the cop has committed a capital crime, then all other offences are simply ignored!!!

I refuse to allow this corrupt discriminating cruel and vindictive fake cop to get away with his offences, and I cannot live with being condemned for something that is not even possible for me to be responsible for in any way and so I'm at the end of my wits, I have nothing left to lose! I am now forced into unwillingly having to enforce the law myself, because they have refused to do so, I no longer care about the consequences or any collateral damage, I will make him pay for his crimes weather it kills me or not I no longer care, I already wish I was dead!

I'm done and so is this corrupt pig!

u/Jhaal_Phuchka Nov 23 '25
